Answer:	I’m looking at it and the cord is solidly fixed in the frame that holds the rotating assembly that holds the light, my answer is no. But there is always a way, thread this cord thru another cord around your waist? Cheers!
Question:	To what size can the head strap be adjusted? I had to send a different one back because it was too small for my head (app 23" with a tape measure
Answer:	Make sure the button lock mode is not engaged. Hold the button down for more than 4 seconds and see if it comes on. Thought mine had stopped charging too as it would not turn on after a night on charge - only a quick series of red LED flashes and then nothing. No status LED and no white light. Holding button down for 4s until it turned on fixed it. It's in the manual but easily overlooked and can confound you if you don't use that feature routinely but somehow engaged it.

Question:	Is the red light good for night photography
Answer:	Only if your exposure on the camera is set at about 4 seconds for a still shot up close using a f3.5 lens. The lumens are too low to get any sort of illumination past 5 feet even with longer exposure time. Then again, if you have a camera taking still photography at night with exposures times that are numbered nearer to minutes than they are seconds... chances are you wouldn't be asking this question.
Question:	How long will the batteries last at max brightness
Answer:	4-6 hours for me using Duracell. The issue is the light discharges the batteries slowly when turned off, so beware of storing them for months on end or for an emergency.

Answer:	an LED is not like the old tungsten bulbs of yore. LED's are generally rated for 50,000+ hours of service. The old tungsten filament headlamp bulbs were rated for somewhere around 1000 hours and you were lucky to get anywhere near that. The secret to longevity with an LED is it's heat sink. The cooler the heat sink can keep the bulb, the longer it lasts, providing the power supply is not flaky.
Question:	Can you remove the strap that goes over the top of the head from front to back
Answer:	With optional clips, yes
Question:	Directions? How do you put these together
Answer:	It's designed to use any *button-top* 18650, which I didn't realize until after I got it. Since most of my 18650's are flat-top, it was very easy to put a slight bend in the (+) contact to get the flat-tops to work with it.
Question:	What is COB
Answer:	No the 2 different modes cycle separate. It would be 4 pushes from off to off. If you held it for 3 seconds it would be 4 pushes to turn off again.
Question:	Does it come with any Spare bulbs
Answer:	I do not know about photoelectric, but if the home is say about 10 years old, u may have connecting wires with the entire house. Those wires have an adopter, all u have to do is plug into the fire alarm, u are going to buy. The purpose of those wires is, interconnection, if one alarm goes on, the entire 5 will start buzzing.
Question:	Will it connect to a hard hat
Answer:	I replaced existing ones, so no I haven't. That said, they would draw so little power, I doubt it would be noted at all- energy of the alarm is from the 9 volt batteries.

Answer:	I called Kidde and told them I needed a replacement for my existing Kidde Model 1275 smoke alarm. They advised that I could replace the Model 1275 with either the Kidde Model i12040 or i12080. Both of which have the exact same wiring harness and base / ceiling plate. The only difference is the i12080 has a light which illuminates when the smoke alarm activates and also requires two 9 volt batteries rather than just one 9 volt for the model i12040.

Question:	Does it have a setting between turbo and low
Answer:	Yes it cycles through high, low, medium and hold the button down for a 45 second 1000 lumen turbo mode. Turbo cuts off after 45 seconds to prevent over heating.
Question:	Does this have memory mode or does it always start at the lowest mode
Answer:	It does not have memory mode. The brightness level always cycles through the same 3 levels and if you press the button for a couple seconds, it starts in turbo mode. (1000 Lumens) This is an incredible headlight.
Question:	Does it come with any Spare bulbs
Answer:	an LED is not like the old tungsten bulbs of yore. LED's are generally rated for 50,000+ hours of service. The old tungsten filament headlamp bulbs were rated for somewhere around 1000 hours and you were lucky to get anywhere near that. The secret to longevity with an LED is it's heat sink. The cooler the heat sink can keep the bulb, the longer it lasts, providing the power supply is not flaky.

Question:	Can you use regular batteries
Answer:	It's designed to use any *button-top* 18650, which I didn't realize until after I got it. Since most of my 18650's are flat-top, it was very easy to put a slight bend in the (+) contact to get the flat-tops to work with it.
Question:	when I wanna turn off the light I need to pass all 8 modes
Answer:	No the 2 different modes cycle separate. It would be 4 pushes from off to off. If you held it for 3 seconds it would be 4 pushes to turn off again.

Question:	Could this be used as a collar for a 10lb poodle
Answer:	I’m not sure why you would use this as a collar, but the weight of the light would definitely go under the dog’s neck, preventing any benefit from the light itself. It’s designed to wear on the forehead thus lighting up the path in front of you.
Question:	Is there a low battery alert? Does it get dimmer and dimmer or just auto-shut-off when it runs out? I don't want auto-shut-off
Answer:	I can't say specifically for this model, but on most Energizer headlamps it starts flashing the red light while the lamp is in use if the battery is low.
Question:	How do you replace battery. I tried to push/depress the button on bottom but won't budge. Help
Answer:	Gently pull the back cover down. Lift the red hinge at the top, and the battery compartment cover drops down. Hope this helps you.
Question:	I have the old version of this headlamp and like it a lot. Is the new version better? If so how
Answer:	I have the old version and I just bought the new version for some co-workers for a night hike. I noted that the new version seems to have a brighter led light. My older style works perfectly fine, but I do like the narrow lense used on the new design. We all saw fine on the trail, I think in the end, it’s about personal style.

Such as we add an individual ON/OFF button. Because we understand that it's pretty annoying when you try to turn off the headlamp, you have to click through all modes to turn it off. The hinge is more steady than before, the headlamp will stay in perfect angle and won't drop down when you're running. The headlamp is also brighter than before.
