Answer:	Once upon a time it was a working gas mask. However, we recommend it for consume or decorations only

Question:	Where is it made in
Answer:	Only if your exposure on the camera is set at about 4 seconds for a still shot up close using a f3.5 lens. The lumens are too low to get any sort of illumination past 5 feet even with longer exposure time. Then again, if you have a camera taking still photography at night with exposures times that are numbered nearer to minutes than they are seconds... chances are you wouldn't be asking this question.
Question:	When turned on, does it start with white led or red led
Answer:	4-6 hours for me using Duracell. The issue is the light discharges the batteries slowly when turned off, so beware of storing them for months on end or for an emergency.

Question:	Will light adjust down if I'm drawing
Answer:	I do not see a lockout. The button is very flat and not likely to be activated. You can pull a battery out also to be sure.

Answer:	I don't know for sure but I've easily gotten eight hours of total use so far on high. I imagine this depends quite a bit on the quality of your batteries. Cheaper store brand ones commonly don't have nearly as high a milliamp rating as bigger names like Duracell and Energizer.

Answer:	The headlamps are made in China and have undergone and passed rigid quality control evaluations.

Answer:	It starts with the white light at the lowest brightness level. Press the button again and you go to the next level. The higher the brightness level the shorter the battery life. For red you have to hold the button down for a few seconds until the red comes on.

Answer:	Yes, this contains two headlamps. They are the brightest headlamps I have ever owned. Really nice product, Holds a charge for about a week, with daily use of an hour each day.
Question:	Can you cycle through the RED modes without triggering any white light
Answer:	There are two buttons on top of the lamp. Push the right button (on top) and you get the highest lumen output (500). Push the right button again and you get a reduced amount of lumens (not sure the level). Push the right button a third time and you get a flashing light of 500 lumens (warning/locator light). Push the right button a fourth time and the light goes off. This is the only way to get all the modes in a very small package and for it to be very light weight. It is an acceptable process for all of my uses thus far. Now, push the left button (on top) and you get the "stealth mode" light. This requires a wave of your hand in front of the lamp to 'trigger' the light on. Another wave of the hand in front of the lamp 'triggers' the light off. There is a blue light showing on the top for this mode. To turn the "stealth mode" light off just push the left button again. No blue light on the top indicates it is off. I enjoy the lamp and use it for all sorts of tasks. My only warning is to not look directly into the lamp as it will take a while to get the ghost shadow out of your retinas. Also, do not point the lamp at anyone nearby or they too will have a ghost shadow on their retinas for a while.

Answer:	While i havent attatched to a hard hat, i think it would be fine. I do use it with a bucket hat without any problems.

Answer:	Haven’t had it long enough to have that kind of issue. I’ve had at least 17 hrs use out of it and even wore it during a torrential downpour. It worked well without any issues. Great product for the price

Answer:	Yes, any regular 18650 battery should work. These rechargeable batteries are commonly used for vaping so you could probably buy an extra at a local vape shop. I would not buy an 18650 listed as an “IMR” battery. Those batteries are for high drain devices which have been specifically designed to take advantage of the IMR feature. The IMR would likely work fine in this light but there is no benefit to paying the extra money.

Answer:	It might work for a few minutes but I caution trying it. I’ve tried that on 2 other lights b/c I can’t leave well enough alone and they got really really bright for a minute then never worked again. I’d be scared to try that with a light I had strapped to my head.

Answer:	Black Diamond does not measure the different levels lumens. They do measure the distance one can see on low though and that is 10 m.

Question:	The micro usb port is poor quality, cannot plug in to charge, maligned female terminal, tried x3 cords, is this prevalent or a quality control issue
Answer:	I would go with their next smaller version (Cosmo I think?). This ones a little bulkier— we use it for mountain biking. But we have a smaller one as well that I believe would work better for running.

Answer:	I used it twice for an overnight races, one time 8 hours and the other it was on for probably 6 and I did not see any noticeable difference in light output. I imagine it would be rare to be in darkness for 40 hours straight, unless your question is related more to how often you need to change batteries.
Question:	Is the batt. a flat top. What is a good replacement batt
Answer:	In addition to all of what has been said - the biggest difference is the waterproof rating. The storm only has a rating of IP67 vs. the Spot which has IPX8. The Storm is waterproof up to 1m depth for only 30mins, while the Spot is water proof to depths >1 meter with no time specification.
