Question:	should i need install the battery for the headlamp
Answer:	Lamp broke in about 11 months. I contacted support at 13 months. Support said I was over limit by one month and offered me 30% off. My guess is they looked at this as a business transaction. This is certainly one approach. Another approach would be to consider their lamps should not last only 11-13 months. I have other (newer) lamps from them, and I'm concerned these will go back within 30 . Now I'm concerned my other lamps will fail soon also. I wish I would have just have spent a little more and bought a Petzl. My old Petzl worked for about 3-4 years until I lost it.

Answer:	The zoom feature does not have to be used which is like not having a zoom feature.

Answer:	On average, I get about 5-6 hours on low before the it gets noticeably & rapidly dimmer. I won't test a bright light's run times on high. Running these types of lights continuously on high for a long time tends to wear out the phosphors inside, making the gradually become a little dimmer each time. Not only that, but running them at high for a long time makes the LED & electronics run hotter. That shortens the lifetime of the LED, & electronics a lot, & you may risk burning your lights out if they get too warm. In a power failure or off-grid situation, running them on low to make the battery last longer, is still plenty bright enough for most night situations.
Question:	Does the light turn back on to the same mode that it was in when it was turned off? Other lights force you to cycle every time it's turned on and off

From what I've read about the 14500, yes they should provide an edge in brightness but with prolonged use, they are said to become extremely overheated, to the possibility of damaging the flashlight. Answer:	Lights with 'zoom' are garbage. Almost universally. A solid quality light doesn't need 'zoom'.

Answer:	Yes, it will turn back on the last function except strobe mode
Question:	Do I have to toggle thru all the light modes to turn on or off. I want one press on, one press off. Most people only use one light mode
Answer:	This light has four light levels, one hard press on and hard press off. While on, a soft press will cycle thru the levels, but once on a level of light your happy with the hard press on and off will be at that light level until you change it. Hope that helps...

Answer:	I bought the to46r because it uses three nichia 19c leds. These LEDs have a very high CRI, important if you want to illuminate true colors.
