According to the spec sheet for the XHP70, found on the CREE website, the maximum lumens for the XHP70 is 4,022 lumens. Moreover, all LEDs of the same model are "binned", according to actual characteristics. In order to keep the price of the flashlight down, most manufacturers buy from the lower bins, meaning that the LED will not achieve that max. But even if it has an XHP70 from a lower bin, it's still going to be almost twice as bright as an XHP50 (2546 lumens max) and more than 4 times as bright as a T6 (≈1,000 lumens max). The XHP70 is the brightest LED on the market (today), capable of being used in flashlights. It should be super bright… just not 5,000 lumens. Answer:	I thought the same and did it many times, only to find out no you don’t. Just press and hold the on/off/cycle button and the “setting” it is in will go off. And when you press the on button again it will be in the “cycle” you left. It would be nice if that was in the instructions.

Answer:	I measured mine at home with a lux meter app over a fixed area and did some calculations to find that it puts out roughly 600 lumens on the highest setting, which is consistent with the estimate of 10 watt LED = 40 watt incandescent bulb = 600 or so lumens. If you're wondering whether that's good, bad, in-between... It's not 1000 obviously but it's definitely in the range of tactical/defense flashlights, and is great for this price and size. For reference, most cheap flashlights for everyday indoor use are under 100, most camping/outdoor flashlights that aren't "tactical" or otherwise unique fall in the 100 - 400 range, a 75-watt bulb tends to be around 1100, and a single car headlight tends to be around 1300. Of course, I tested one light with rather imprecise, unscientific equipment so your mileage may vary and whatnot.

This spot measures roughly 8 inches in diameter at 3 feet, and maybe 2 feet in diameter at 10 feet. For what it's worth, I carry one of these everywhere, and has been very helpful to my aging eyes. With intermittent use, the single AAA can go a week or two (maybe more). Love these! Don't know if I helped at all, but I gave it my best shot.

Question:	Does this flashlight have a momentary on function
Answer:	I have two of these, purchased in July 2017. Neither has a momentary on feature. They're both click on/click off with gentle push to cycle through the 3 modes. They don't hold the last mode either. If you turn them off while on bright, when you turn it back on, it'll come on in the dim mode, if you turn it off while on dim, it comes back on in strobe mode, and so on. A little annoying, but I still like the light well enough that I bought a second one and plan to buy another. Nice small inexpensive AA flashlight to keep in the vehicles.
Question:	Can you use Lithium batteries with theJ5 V1 Pro flashlite
Answer:	For those of you who want the brightest flashlight possible: 14500 Lithium-ion battery (Sanyo-Panasonic UR14500P is the best, Orbtronic sells them with protection or ebay for the unprotected Sanyo)
Question:	is it waterproof
Answer:	It is only water resistant, not waterproof. I accidentally knocked mine into my sink that had about an inch of standing water. I immediately retrieved it and dried it off, but it would not turn on. However, about an hour later, it did turn on and worked normally again.
Question:	How long dows a common AA battery last
