Answer:	Blue and brown are the power wires-polarity not important. White is the common. Grey is NC Black is NO. IF the alarm circ,unit needs to be OPENED to sound, use the Grey wire. Usually, they are normally open and the circuit needs to be closed to sound, and the Black wirel is used. Use White and one of the others k or Gray.

Answer:	The unit will close or open a set of contacts when the light beam is interrupted. If a counter is connected to the unit it will trigger the counter.
Question:	Can I use this powered from my doorbell transformer and have it sound the alternate doorbell when tripped
Answer:	You would need to determine the voltage that your doorbell transformer works at. The sensor has 5 wires. 2 power the sensor, it is pretty versatile in the voltage that it works at, so chances are your doorbell transformer will be fine. the last 3 are an single pole, double throw relay/contactor, with a normally open and normally closed output. You will want to connect the normally open output to the doorbell, and the input to the door bell transformer. Be aware that there is potential to burn out your doorbell. Think about your doorbell, when you press the button, and electromagnet makes a striker hit a chime, and then when power is removed, a spring pushes it into a second chime. If someone holds down that doorbell, you get a buzzing sound as the electromagnet is continuously working. If you had this on your driveway, for example, and a car stopped in the beam, the same thing would happen as someone holding down your doorbell button. It could also happen if a leaf fell into the beam and got stuck on the reflector... Chances are this wont be a problem, but you wouldn't want it to happen while you aren't home. There is a fire risk if that door bell magnet or transformer over heated. Consider adding a timer to the circuit, that once it is powered, automatically opens the circuit until it is powered again.

Installation

Disconnect power, remove junction box cover, place the SWITCH in knockout hole (diameter:5/8 inches)and fasten with locknut.

Do not install the switch with the Photocell facing artificial or reflected light. This will cause the unit to cycle on and off at night.

Initial Testing

It is normal for the SWITCH to take several minutes to turn off when first installed.

To test “turn on” during daytime, cover its eye with sliding the metal strip mounted.

Do not cover with finger because light traveling through fingers may be great enough to keep the switch open.

Test will take approximately 2 minutes.

Answer:	Not sure, but that is where I got the part number. I took out the dusk to dawn eye and the number was inside on the part. Your part should have a curve at the base where it screws to the post. Mine fit and worked great. I was worried I had to replace the entire fixture cause it's was 11 years old. I was really happy!
Question:	Do I need an addaptor to plug into the adaptor plug attached or is it included? Right now my unit is attached to bare witres
Answer:	You can do it either with or without plug/ adaptor. The sensor assembly comes as pictured - with plug adaptor. All you will need is three wire nuts to install it. Or you can trim the plug and wire it directly.

Answer:	Yes, if it was wired correctly, it will come on test the bulb. Use something kind of dark; a leather glove or dark hand towel works well.

Answer:	basically when other photo cell lights come on other homes, I used put a piece of black electrical tape over the photo cell to make sure I was done. Works fine. Last one lasted 10 years same type

Answer:	This needs to be connected to other sensing equipment, which the product itself does not have

Answer:	Specifications state: 100ma (100 milli-amps), or 0.1A. Just enough to control a small relay. The relay can then do the heavy work. I used a small relay in my circuit, which then controlled a large solenoid. Worked perfectly. Remember to adjust the sensitivity so you don't get any false trips.

Answer:	I don’t think so. Mine face SW, no issues. I installed these on 2 outside garage lights replacing the screw in bulb sensors. Works perfect for me.

Answer:	Bulb type should not matter, as long as you have enough power to supply it, 110v a.c.. This could also happen if a light source is facing the eye and tripping it.
Question:	I have read in the questions that some people have wired this inline. If you wire this inline with an extension cord, which wires do you connect
Answer:	First, I wouldn’t use an extension cord. Buy some wire, black, white and green. You may also need some conduit to do it right. Tap into an electrical source, like a nearby plug (where you were going to plug in the extension cord). Run the white and green wires to the light and match colors. Run the black wire to the photo call and connect it to the “source”. Then run a black wire from the other side of the photo Cell to the light. Suggest you hire a licensed electrician to do this. You don't seem like you know too much about electricity.

Answer:	The specs state 2.5 ms reset time. According to my calculations, 40,000 rpm with one reflective strip equates to a reset time of less than 1.5 ms. Therefore it would not be expected to work.

Answer:	It says 3/8" but slightly larger hole is actually needed. I used a round file and just enlarged the 3/8" hole I drilled.

Answer:	I have these switches installed with no problem. One of two things can be cause of flickering: (1) wired wrong - black switch wire goes to black "hot" wire from house, red switch wire goes to black lamp / light wire, white wire goes to white wires from lamp and house (if you switch red and black wires around, it'll turn on / off); or (2) photocell is picking up light from lamp itself. I installed mine in bottom of lamp casing pointing down - away from lamp light source. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The sensor is a universal photoelectric sensor. It integrates both NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) dry contact relay outputs. You can use a jumper wire or a splier to short the the LMEP terminals temporarily when the door opener is closing, if the door opener would reverse, then the sensor is compatible with the garage door opener. Otherwise the sensor can not be used with the opener.
