Answer:	I just purchased this about a month ago. When facing the pump so the discharge is facing front, I installed the same elbow adapter that is in the picture pointing up. But, when I installed it, I turned it as far as it would turn safely, and then reversed it so that it discharges to the right. It does not leak. However, if it were to leak, I would just put a strip of plumber's tape around the adapter threads, and just stop turning it when it points in the direction I want. I will be using this in an open space. So, I will probably replace the elbow adapter with the one that just points straight out.

Answer:	I had to send the Pump back because it had a defect - The float keep getting stuck and it flood the crawl space twice. I would not recommend it. End up buying a different pump.
Question:	Can you hook a garden hose to it
Answer:	Just to get the pump to work, no you don't need anything extra. You do of course need to hook it up to a hose so the water has some place to go. I would also suggest getting a check valve if you have to pump the water straight up, as I did. I have also noticed that occasionally the pump appears to have stopped working. I have to unplug/replug the electrical cord and it picks back up again.

Question:	how to fix when it shuts off too early
Answer:	I do not know how to fix this, but I am pretty sure if it is the sensor you can order it and replace it. Before that check to see if it got clogged.
