Answer:	I would say it is normal. These pumps are not built for long running applications and after a few minutes they get hot. If long running is needed on a regular basis you may need a different pump. My use on 5 minutes on to refill the storage tank, then off for an extended time so it never gets very hot.

Question:	can this product use to supply water to home from a tank (well
Answer:	I do. I have cistern, I put a check valve after tank, the pump next, a pressure tank, and a another check valve and this connects to the house piping. You must place the check valve to stop the water bleeding back into the cistern and the second to trap the water in the house lines for a smoother operation. My pressure tank is 36 gallon and I can complete a couple showerS on the tank of water. Best of luck!

Question:	How many amps does the 1/2 HP pump draw
Answer:	The label says 11 amps starts, 5.5 amps running. So I thought I could run it with a Honda EU 2000 generator. It wouldn't handle the start-up load. Switched to a EU 3000. That works, but it's still a big pull on startup. The overload light will blink momentarily, the runs fine. Well depth around 20'.

Answer:	You well depth doesn't determine anything. Your depth to the the water table determines how fast you can pump the water (gallons per min). You can have 100' deep well and a 10' deep well side my side and they will perform roughly the same if the water table is 8' It's the distance from the water table to the pump that matters. You can only suck water up about 25'. After 25' the weight of the water starts to exceed the vacuum of the pump and it's ability to "suck" water up. Once you get the water in the pump you can push it honorarily as far as you want. This pump an create 50-60PSI of pressure. You could push water vertically maybe 100' or so with that 50PSI. The pressure will drop fast as you push water vertically. In short moving water up hill is the hard problem. Moving downhill or sideways is easy. As for the pressure tank buy a small 1 gall tank and install it next to the pump. The $40 more will make you and your pump a lot happier. If you don't your pump will cycle on/off.

Answer:	Yes. You need an adapter with a Male hose thread (MHT) on one end and a Male 3/4" standard pipe thread (NPT) on the other end. You could also buy an outdoor water spigot and a 1/2" female NTP to 3/4 male NTP adapter and screw the spigot directly into one of the 3/4" ports on the pump. Note: You need at a minimum a (1 gal or larger) pressure tank to make the pump/pressure switch turn on/off correctly/reliably. The pump will cycle on/off/on/off... without the pressure tank.

Answer:	No, this is single pump, you need to open/close through the button by manual

You can install a pressure switch on any pump by simply installing a "tee" and then putting the pressure switch in one leg of the "tee" and having it interrupt the AC power to the pump when the set-point pressure is achieve. Answer:	No. This is a small, centrifugal pump that can run against a restricted head to control flow at a constant rpm. However, I do not recommend running against a "dead"head for any length of time because of heat generation and cavitation.

Question:	unit pressure pre-set at 55 psi', does that mean it will add 55 psi to the existing line pressure or will it shut off when it gets to 55 psi
Answer:	No it won't add pressure. If your incoming pressure is higher than 55 psi your pump will just sit there. If you adjust the pressure switch values higher than 55 it will work. But you have to increase the bladder pressure also, about 2 lbs lower than your high pressure.

Question:	Anyone have instructions to hook two intake pipes to shallow well
Answer:	are you going to pump from 2 different wells or from 1 water source. Im not sure the pump would be able to pull water from to wells. That being said you could put a short pipe on the intake and a T and the run separate pipes to the 2 water sources. It may work. I hope this helps. Brad

Question:	What is the max pressure? i need a minimum of 40 psi, preferably 60/80 psi. very little volume necessary
Answer:	It comes with an adjustable pressure switch. I have mine set to 20 40, it will adjust higher I know it will got to 60 and might go to 80. You will need a pressure tank.
Question:	Does it have to have a pressure tank , I would use it out of cistern and not very often
Answer:	If the presser switch is bypassed and a manual switch installed then it would work like a irrigation pump but it needs a small presser tank to operate effectively with the pressure switch.

Answer:	You will still need at least a minimal pressure tank but it does have a regulator. I purchased a 5 gallon tank. It's like a shock absorber for your car will lengthen the life of the plumbing.

Answer:	We have it hooked up to a large water tank and to our camper. We do not have a separate pressure relief valve. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, I have this pump and use it for potable water to supply both my cabin and camper during the summer months. Since I use it seasonally I run a bleach treatment at the beginning of the summer season to ensure that the pump is clean.

Filling Water Into The Pump Head Before Use It

• Adding some water to the pump head will help accelerate the flow rate of inlet.
• Bigger inlet hose is suggested
• Please use a check valve at the end of inlet hose, it will save your time to set pump at next time use.

During Using the Pump

• Make sure hose is not blocked or folded. If the hose has non-return valve, make sure it is fully submerged in the water.

Tips 

The max suction height is 8/26ft and it takes some time before automatic pumping. Adding some pilotage water to the head of the pump will help accelerate the flow rate of inlet. The closer water inlet pipe and the pump is, the better the effect.

Impurities are not allowed in the water and it may cause a jam if the diameter is more than 1mm.

There is a dewatering outlet designed for draining the left water in the machine if it will not be in use for a long term. Water Inlet and outlet need to be sealed up when you connect pipes.

Some sellers describe their products as 1.6HP, actually it may be less than 1HP. As a professional seller, we prefer to show real data to our customers.

Why do your pumps have half the energy consumption than others as both of your pumps' flow rate are 900GPH.

Our pumps' motor are more efficient. It's flow rate is 900GPH, which is as strong as the old typed 1.6HP pump. High efficiency does not only bring low energy consumption, but also reduces heat generation to extend service life and reduce noise.

Can I install the pump by myself? Do I need a professional to maintain or repair it?

Installation and maintenance is very simple. We have already prepared the necessary accessories for your installation. The basic model has only one remoable handle (in the accessory bag), the mechanical switch and pressure gauge of the A model, and the automatic electronic switch of the B model are also easy to install and remove. In addition to motor or impeller damage, other conventional damage can be resolved by replacing the parts yourself.

Why can't my pump pump any water? The flow is not steady?

For the first time, it is recommended to fill the pump head with water. Otherwise it will affect the suction. If you have done, please check if the bottom valve leaks.

If the flow is very small, may caused by the insufficient water supply. Please check the water level of your well and extend the water pipe if necessary.
