Question:	What's the PSI or max head (pumping vertical height) of this pump
Answer:	A quick Google search of "Superior Pump 91250" yields the manufacturers specs. I do not see PSI listed but "Pumps will lift water up to 25' of vertical height" I belive answers your question...there is a chart on the "Performance" tab that shows 30 GPM at 0' lift and 2 GPM at 25' lift...with flow rates every 5' listed.http://superiorpump.com/products/utility/91250.html
Question:	Does it have an automatic shut off
Answer:	The pump does not have an automatic shut off. I added a float switch because I wanted it to pump out a sink that had a slow-running clogged drain where I had the washing machine. When the sink was mostly pumped out the float switch turned off the pump. It worked great for a couple years until I got around to dealing with snaking the drain which didn't have an easy clean-out. This is a good pump, since the sink drain got taken care of, we've been using the pump to pump koi pond water over a 5' fence to our neighbor's garden using about 150' of garden hose. The pump runs continuously for 5+ hours without issues in this process.
Question:	Will clothes washer hoses fit on this pump
Answer:	The pump itself fits a garden hose nicely. You can buy the attachment package listed next to it for the converter piece. It only came to around $8.00. It also comes with a larger hose. I didn't need it for my spa but if you need to empty a washer or bigger pool it seems like it would come in handy. Hope that helps. Good luck. :-)
Question:	Can this be user to flush a tankless heater with vinigar
Answer:	I bought the pump for this very reason. I'm not sure if it is rated to handle vinegar, but at the price I figured I'd try it and see. I have two tankless water heaters, and I wanted a pump that could clean out both at the same time and this pump certainly does the job. I have a hose that runs from the pump, into a splitter. From the splitter I have two hoses going to each water heater (one hose per water heater). Even pushing water through two hoses, it still has a strong flow, with each hose pushing about the same flow as the water hose faucet outside your house opened wide open (guestimate). The splitter I have allows me to adjust the flow rate by closing off some valves if it is too strong. For just one water heater, i would think this pump is too strong (as it REALLY moves water), but I'm not a plumber so I couldn't say for sure. If I were to do it again, I think I would have purchased the 1/4 HP pump, or even the 1/5HP for cleaning out water heaters with vinegar. I cleaned out my water heater this week for the first time using this pump. I let it run for 2 hrs, and I noticed that it got warm (about the temp of a warm-to-hot bath). I'm not sure if that is normal, but thought I'd let you know.

Answer:	The flow rate changes depending on the delivery height. It gets smaller when the height of the water that you pump out become higher. Basically, you can set the height of your hose to adjust the flow rate. Please don't exceed its max height 21ft, then no water comes out. There is no internal device to simply control its flow rate big or smaller for this model.

Answer:	Minimum water level for Float switch to turn on the pump automatically is around 30cm. If the water level is not enough, you need adjust float switch and fix it at ON position, then pump will be become manually controlled.

Answer:	Do you mean can you turn it on and get flow? No, to draw water up from below you need to prime it.
Question:	what is the run time on this? I need to be able to run this 24 hours at a time
Answer:	I only had to run it for about 15 minutes at a time and I kept my fingers crossed that it would go that long. It would get very hot. I don't think it would last 24 hours of continuous running.

Answer:	It will but can't run this pump for a long time since it does get hot. I have two rain barrels and I use the water for the plants / lawn. I use the water from the rain barrels once a week but each time i water, would have to take 2-3 mins break to allow the motor to cool down. Additionally and not sure if this does make a difference but my rain barrels are at surface level. If your tank is off the ground, the gravity might help a bit. Hope this helps

Question:	Does this pump safely bypass when the outlet is blocked or does this damage the pump
Answer:	We use this pump to drain a mid-size vinyl swimming pool which is itself set on a hard base. Initially, the vinyl a the base of the pool was sucked up against the impeller grid at the base of the pump and the pump continued to run with no apparent damage. On the outlet side we have run the pump when an output garden hose was kinked. The pump continued to run with a small volume exiting the hose. Again, no apparent damage but I note that we have never had the outlet completely blocked. The pump is fairly new to us and we have only used it a few times but are impressed thus far.
Question:	how heavy is it? Will my glass aquarium support it? Thanks
Answer:	The item 203622 itself is 11.5lb including 25ft cord, and I afraid the flow is too strong to a glass aquaium. May I recommend a manual pump to you? Our item 203617 you can find it in the same listing might be more suitable for a aquarium and it's only 7lb weight including 25ft cord.

Answer:	Hi Wayne,The thermoplastic pump will work better in this application than a cast iron one. There is an aluminum motor plate that is exposed and this could oxidize in an RO environment.We do not recommend our pumps to be used for these.Thanks

Answer:	Sure It's more powerful than a standard utility pump and would require an adapter to neck it down from 1-1/2/1-1/4" to 3 /4" garden hose thread but it will work provided there isn't much of sand in the water should only be used with clear water and would have to manually activate float switch by hand if the water is not deep enough to activate float In addition, this pump will only pickup water approximately 1" off floor whereas a utility pump can typically pickup down to 1 /4" , or le ss, off floor This pump should not be fun dry - water must be in intake at all times when running
Question:	What size basin will this fit in
Answer:	If you secure it so that vibration does not move it around, it should work fine in a 12" diameter basin. I have it in a larger one (15"). If the float touches the side, you are obviously in trouble.

Question:	Can this be used to increase water pressure to water hose
Answer:	I think this depends on where the pressure drop is that's causing the low flow in the hose. If the hose is small or long and is the problem, then this will help, but not very much. A larger hose would help more. If the problem is in the upstream water system, it's very unlikely to help. It has very little suction power so isn't going to extract much more water from that system.

Question:	how much pressure does this have. I have a on demand water heater that need 20# of pressure, will this work
Answer:	This won't work. This pump probably has only 10 psi at best. I used this with a water hose to transfer a 60 gallon pond of water, it took 45 minutes to do so. Buy a bigger pump. It's nice if you only have a low demand like I did. Plus this pumps shuts off automatically every 7-10 minutes of use.

Answer:	About 4 feet.

Answer:	This did come with impeller replacement kit in the box. Anything other than that, I am not sure. We haven't had ours long enough to need parts.
Question:	Can I leave this pump outside during warmer weather
Answer:	I would think so but only if its protected it from the weather. The motor body has vents at the end where a cooling fan spins and if water gets in there...I dont know. Also, if it gets too hot it will shut down until it cools. Its not a sump pump, and its great for emptying say a 50 gal reservoir in 10-15 minutes but its not heavy duty.

Question:	What is the minimum amount of water needed to start pumping
Answer:	You really want it submersed and must be around to keep eyes on as the water level gets low. I moved the pump around to deeper areas on my pool cover. It did a great job that way and is much more powerful than the pool cover pumps the pool suppliers sell and those break so easily and actually cost more. It is also nice to have a pump on hand in case of hurricanes and storms.
Question:	We have several 300 gallon tanks with 5.5 inch (140mm) diameter openings. If we modify float/handle, will this fit through the opening

Answer:	If the pump will be always submerged in water for days, then it can run for long time. Since this item works by simple plug-in operation, you have to pay attention that DO NOT RUN DRY.

Unlike other dual-float switches that run each cycle for a fixed amount of time, the Pump Controller's two sensors make it highly adjustable, giving the user complete control of where the pump turns on and turns off—Anywhere from a 1/2 inch to 12 feet!



In certain utility pump applications, this precise control feature can allow for the turn on level to be set as low as 1/2” of water, and the turn off level as low as 1/4” of water. When used with a sump pump, the user can decrease how often the pump turns on/off by adjusting the sensors in order to achieve the longest run-time for the pump. How It Works

The setting of the sensors determine when the control module turns the pump on, and when it turns it off. Following the sequence below, the operation is as follows:

1. When the water is below both sensors, the pump is off.

2. The pump is off when the water is above the Low Sensor, but hasn't reached the High Sensor.

3. When the water reaches the High Sensor, the pump is turned on.

4. The pump stays on while the water is between the sensors.

5. The pump is turned off when the water drops below the Black Low Sensor.

Answer:	I don't know but they only seem to last 2 years. I switched to a float type switch to see how long that will last.

Answer:	That model takes a dps41 but I see no reason why it wont work

Answer:	Either way works. My float died after a few months. I had to transfer one off an old pump.

Answer:	My pump sits about 2 feet below the concrete in the basement, horizontal for 3 feet and up 9 ft. It is pretty powerful and should eject water pretty high, however you should install a backflow close to the pump so what doesn't get ejected doesn't fall back to the pump, and pump tries to eject in an endless cycle.

Question:	Can I remove the float switch as I need to use this in a bucket with holes drilled to prevent leaves to drain a pool
Answer:	Just to be clear, I have read more than once in the responses about cutting the tethered float or removing it to use another switch or use the pump as just a utility pump without a switch. There are 2 separate plugs, one to the pump and one to the switch. The switch is not hard wired to the pump and can be removed or not used by not plugging it in. Piggyback refers to plugging the pump and switch together (they are made to plug together then plug into your receptacle) to use in a sump pit to keep water cycled out so as not to burn out the pump. If you want another switch there are many choices like a vertical float switch for limited space in the sump pit, plugs and piggybacks the same way it just positions the switch in a more narrow configuration for a smaller space.

Answer:	Thank you for contacting us with your question. This unit would not be able to operate a 3000PSI pressure washer. The unit would not be allowed to handle being deheaded.
