Answer:	Hold up there, previous answer, not so fast. It is true that you should not have both the hot water heater and furnace venting directly into the flue, combining the exhaust. However, some people see their vent pipes entering the flue (or chimney wall) and assume they are both releasing the fumes inside the chimney. In some cases, the venting pipes continue separately up the flue. Joseph, if you have two vent pipes entering your flue, there is a chance that both pipes continue separately up the flue and out the top. If that is the case, you may be able to use the existing hot water vent system. When you look at the top of your chimney, do you see two terminations coming out?
Question:	How does very cold intake water affect performance
Answer:	Sorry to contradict but the temperature of the water going into the water heater will definitely have an effect on the temperature of the water coming out. the water heater needs to provide enough BTUs to heat the volume of water that you need to the water temperature that you want. If the water starts off at a lower temperature it will take more BTUs to get it to the temperature you want. This unit claims to be able to provide 6.6 gallons of hot water per minute but that assumes the water is startling an average temperature. If you have a modern shower head it will only use about 2.5 GPM but if you have second shower going, a hot water faucet open or a clothes washer filling at the same time you will run out of capacity quickly. Rinnai should have tables on their website that shows the ability of the unit to heat water at a variety of starting temperatures to a range of hot water temperatures at a given flow rate.

Answer:	Gently twist clockwise and anti clockwise (1/4 of an inch) and pull the pump upwards - this will then allow you to remove the sponge filter to clean. If you need to clean the pump at this stage just unscrew the visable screw to enable separation and clean.

Answer:	This pump does not come with batteries. It takes 4 "D" cells. It may work fine with rechargeable batteries but I have only used alkaline batteries in mine.

Answer:	Yes, I think it would. As you can see in the picture there are 3 different sized nozzles, so I'm sure you could fit the end of a balloon on one of them, and leave yourself some room after blowing up to tie it off.

Answer:	The recommended wire is 8/2 and there is not a limit to distance written in the install directions. You need to check with your electrician. Make sure he is state license and insured. Answer:	There is no specific installation kit. However, we suggest using flexible braided hose connections that screw onto the hot and cold water for the first 18" or so. These connections are easy to remove to check a filter screen or if needed to work on the unit in general. The connections are 3/4" NPT. Answer:	I bought model V65EN. It came with a wired digital controller. The installer did not run the wire into the house and mount the controller indoors. He simply set the controller at 120 degrees and left the controller inside the unit. If I want to change the temp, I have to take the cover of the unit.

In my case the National Fuel Gas Code requires more clearance around it than I have in my water heater closet. So I returned mine.

Answer:	Assuming you have everything hooked up correctly, at 3.5 GPM, the MAX TEMP will be NO MORE THAN 55 degrees ABOVE THE TEMPERATURE OF THE INCOMING WATER. For example, if the incoming water temp is 50 degrees in the winter, then the max winter temp will be 105. In the summer, when the incoming water is 65 degrees, the max summer temp will be 120 degrees. This is the way ALL demand heaters work. Be SURE to check the TEMPERATURE RISE specification on ANY demand heater to know what it is truly capable of. If the TEMP RISE is specified at 3GPM, and you try to set it higher, it may CUT BACK THE FLOW RATE to achieve the higher temp, but it will NEVER exceed the TEMP RISE spec.

Answer:	I would say yes as I understand it the concentric is just the air intake and exhaust you would have condensation either way. I have mine draining into a reservoir with a pump that pumps it to the drain. If you install withount it will just blow water on the ground and there's your answer.

Question:	Does this work when temperatures drop to below freezing
Answer:	When it freezes below about 20 you have to drain it to protect the coils. That said, you may start the water and fire it up when it is below freezing, just remember to drain it once it cools off.... Our unit works on a single handle application, it just has to be set at a lower temp.

Answer:	yes....just dont let it freeze...great unit....i use it off grid so battery ignition is great.....20 min hot water at a time just let it rest for 5 and its ready to go again
Question:	How long does a 20 gallon propane tank last with this unit
Answer:	it's hard to say... depending on usage but I have also used the smaller unit L5.... I found it was just about as fast.... maybe not as hot in colder season but much more efficient on propane. I used the L5 more than than my new L10 and had a month of use.... doing dishes washing up and showers for one person (month of October in the Canadian Maritimes) out of a 5 lb tank.... I was thrilled... I changed to L10 because I foolishly let the L5 freeze and cracked some parts (which I intend to fix) but L5 were back ordered and I needed a unit quickly... love the L10 but it's using more propane... hope it helps
Question:	Is it possible to mount this product on outside of travel trailer? If so, what precautionary steps should be taken
Answer:	I wouldn't: you can, however, mount it to a fixture that can be secured to a stand. (meaning, it's easy to steal) I don't believe that it was designed to be mounted to a travel trailer, though you can always contact the manufacturer, and ask them.

Answer:	this takes the place of a hot water tank. there are connections for the water and gas and one plug to an outlet. it heats the water as it passes through the unit.

Answer:	Hello. I'm sure any one would work, but I'd go with this larger capacity model. After having in for awhile, this one can output enough for 2 showers at full capacity, but one seems to be just a little restricted. If we installed some different shower heads I'm sure there wouldn't be any issues. For the minimal increase in cost, I believe the additional capacity is worth it. You may not always need it, but it's nice to know it's there if you do.

Question:	Why are these so much less expensive than other name brand tankless heaters
Answer:	Could it be the others are over priced or not produced in the volume these are?

Answer:	After having an electrician inspect the installation and unit, I was told the Eco 36 really should only be installed on a 300 amp service or above. It is a great unit, but for most homes trying to run it on a 200 amp service, it is too much of a draw on the electrical. It will cause flickering lights and will become a problem when your timing a full house with showers, laundry, dishwashing, etc. I love the unit, but my service is 200 amp, so I'll be removing this and installing a Rheem Electric Hybrid tank water heater.
