Answer:	I don’t know. But I suggest u look for a different brand. It already failed twice in less than a year and their warranty is a scam. They provide the parts which are pennies and leave out labor.

Answer:	Hold up there, previous answer, not so fast. It is true that you should not have both the hot water heater and furnace venting directly into the flue, combining the exhaust. However, some people see their vent pipes entering the flue (or chimney wall) and assume they are both releasing the fumes inside the chimney. In some cases, the venting pipes continue separately up the flue. Joseph, if you have two vent pipes entering your flue, there is a chance that both pipes continue separately up the flue and out the top. If that is the case, you may be able to use the existing hot water vent system. When you look at the top of your chimney, do you see two terminations coming out?
Question:	How does very cold intake water affect performance
Answer:	Sorry to contradict but the temperature of the water going into the water heater will definitely have an effect on the temperature of the water coming out. the water heater needs to provide enough BTUs to heat the volume of water that you need to the water temperature that you want. If the water starts off at a lower temperature it will take more BTUs to get it to the temperature you want. This unit claims to be able to provide 6.6 gallons of hot water per minute but that assumes the water is startling an average temperature. If you have a modern shower head it will only use about 2.5 GPM but if you have second shower going, a hot water faucet open or a clothes washer filling at the same time you will run out of capacity quickly. Rinnai should have tables on their website that shows the ability of the unit to heat water at a variety of starting temperatures to a range of hot water temperatures at a given flow rate.

Answer:	The 16L has a timer for 20 minutes. I’m not familiar with the 10 L . There’s no real problem with the 16 L shutting off in 20 minutes, just turn your water supply off for one second and turn it back on. You can do this while you’re still in the shower.
Question:	is there a way to bypass the 20 min shut off switch? I need this to supply constant hot water in an application where it will be supervised
Answer:	You could always set up a timer to switch it off and on every 20 min and reset the auto shut off

Answer:	The burner's electronic igniter is almost certainly not going to work if soaked by rain. I took these instructions to mean: "Use it outside if the water held inside won't freeze (and burst the piping), but if not under some sort of cover, then shroud it (probably with tin or something the exhaust won't melt or ignite) to keep it from getting soaked by rain."

Question:	My house is wired 110V. What additional items do I need to purchase for the conversion
Answer:	Just to expand slightly on prior answers, normally a residential service feed is 240 volts between the two incoming hot legs. There is also a neutral leg, which (hopefully) has zero potential with reference to ground. The voltage between either one of the hot legs and the neutral leg is 120 volts. The 120 volt circuits in your house are connected to one or the other of the two hot legs, and only one. An attempt is made to assign circuits to the two hot legs in a way that will roughly balance the load between them. The other side of a 120 volt circuit is connected to the neutral leg. There is additionally a safety ground run with the circuit, which also ties into the panel. Certain devices require more power (work product of current and voltage) than is practical to deliver using a 120 volt circuit. Common examples are your clothes dryer, and your electric stove. These devices are powered by both hot legs, with a difference in potential of 240 volts. This water heater is also such a device.STRONG BUT FRIENDLY WARNING: If you did not already know this, please don't make wiring this water heater your learning opportunity with electricity. Answer:	The National Electrical Code requires conductors and overcurrent protection to be sized at 100% of the manufacturer's branch circuit recommendation for tankless electric water heaters. A 60 amp breaker is the same price as a 40 or 50, it is the wire that costs more. #6 AWG wire is required for a 60 amp circuit. If you undersize the wire it could overheat and catch fire. Protect your family and follow the manufacturer's sizing for this, or any other, electrical device. Your family's lives are worth the extra money. 

Answer:	I used the 1/4” hose on the hot and cold of our washing machine. They feed from the sink valve which has two outlets. Washer works just fine. LG washer dryer combo.

Answer:	The hose is 3/4" hose thread by 3/8" compression (typical shutoff supply size)

I found a window install kit that encases the window and has a place to put the exhaust hose i ordered a HOMEE universal portable air conditioner window seal from Amazon for $20. You can also get a piece of plexiglass cut to the size of your window with another cut out for the hose. Then line it with foam to get a good seal. If this thing I ordered doesn't work that's what I'm gonna do. I hope this helps

Question:	How do know which size to buy? We will supply two bathrooms, dish washer, clothes washer. What size should I choose
Answer:	I noted someone below stating they got the largest one and they can only run one water source at a time. My guess is they installed it wrong by not getting the electric hooked up right, or maybe the unit was just defective, or they live in Alaska. I went under size with an Eco 27 a few years ago because that’s all my electric panel could handle. We have zero issues in the summer. During winter months we can only run one shower at a time and have to slowly fill a tub (maybe 3/4 fill speed). To save as much money as I am on electric bill and have unlimited shower lengths (only 1 person at a time mid-Dec to mid-March) is totally worth it. On here today because I’m thinking of upping my panel size so was thinking of going with a larger one now. Regardless, CCRC’s experience with the largest unit not working is nothing like the experience I’ve had, and again I intentionally undersized mine for the house. The website has a clear chart to explain size you need based on number of water fixtures in your home and ground water temperature.
Question:	Can this unit supply a 3,700 sq foot home with 3 1/2 baths
Answer:	In the lower states it can, but in the northern states, multiple simultaneous users, it will be overloaded. If you can afford a 3,700 square foot home, then you can place a unit in each appropriate demand zone and be very glad you did. I love mine, live in KY, get great supply when the water is above 60 degrees, and then it slows the flow as the temperature drops. I have dishwasher, washing machine, garden tube, 2 showers, 3 sinks and 4 people. It is better than great in the summer, okay spring and fall, and we are conservative in the winter.
Question:	What is the power consumption of this tank-less heater
Answer:	The instantaneous power consumption while the hot water is running is quite high (up to 18kW or 27kW depending on which model you’re looking at on this page). However, when no hot water is being used, the power consumption is 0 (or a minuscule amount to run an LED light or something). The total power consumption over the course of several days or longer should be much lower than a tank heater but the short term power usage while the heater is making hot water will be much higher than a tank heater. It’s just that the unit sits idle most of the time while a tank heater will use power fairly frequently even when no hot water is needed as the water in the tank cools off over time and needs to be re-heater fairly constantly

Question:	Can everything be drained enough (after use) that it doesn't get damaged by freezing temperatures during storage between uses
Answer:	Yes. I hold the 2 hoses vertical to drain them, but the one with the pump I shake (the pump) to get every last drop. The main heater unit has a drain screw underneath, I believe, but I just tilt the unit without hoses attached to drain what little water is inside. BTW, I found another use... my grand daughters plastic kiddy pool holds 70 gallons of frigid 53F hose water. One little tank of propane more than heats it into the 90's!
Question:	I want to replace the lead acid battery in this thing with a 12v lithium motorcycle starter battery. For that, I need to know the amp hours and size
Answer:	The internal charger is not built with the stringent safety circuits for lithium-ion chemistry. Sealed lead-acid chargers are not interchangeable with Li-ion and is dangerous to do so. A 12 volt lead acid can safely receive upwards toward 14 volts, but 3 li-ion cells max out at 12.6v (3 times 4.2v cells). If the unit runs on the charger, then take a small yet powerful automotive Li-ion jump starter pack, and power it externally. Not as convenient as built-in, but Li-ion cells & chargers have much safety circuitry.
