| Answer: | Heater has a built-in thermostat which I believe turns on at 40 deg F. Is it likely the water was colder than 40 deg, when it was working? If it was colder than 40, then, and higher, now, that would be the problem. Also, I'm sure you've already checked power at your outlet, but if you're connected through a GFI outlet, even the slightest electrical leakage to ground will trip it when the heater goes into the water. (We're connected through a GFI, and that's been a concern for us.) It's a pretty simple system, so if neither of those checks resolve the problem, I'm afraid the heater may may have just failed. | Answer: | Mine didn't. You will be using it in the winter, and like me, I have that going and several heat lamps in the chicken coop. Its plugged into 110 so I don't know how it would draw so much electricity without a fire. Maybe the power bill would have been that much anyway because it is winter not just the one de-icer. |

I've used in the commercial horse tanks that are composite plastic but have always built a cage - just to be safe. Remember, these are heating just enough to keep the water from freezing. |

| Answer: | There is a galvanized wire protector that goes on the cord to keep animals from chewing on it. I remove that as ours is for chicken water, then it leaves no rust. It might not if you left the wore on since it’s galvanized, but we add vinegar which would corrode it. The rest guard is stainless, so shouldn’t rust. |

| Answer: | A standard flow shower head is around 2.5 gallons per minute. A low flow head is around 1.5 gallons per minute. The recovery rate for a 90 degree temperature rise is 6.8 gallons per hour! So even the 7.5 gallon unit would only provide 4 minutes of shower time before the temp dropped off dramatically. (even at the low flow rate..) |

| Answer: | If your bathtub is bigger than your main heater tank, this unit isn't going to do much for you. It will add 2.5, 4, or 7 gallons to the capacity of your main tank, depending on which Bosch unit you buy. The 7 gallon unit requires a specially wired circuit. You will also get a little bit of lukewarm water that was in the line between your main heater and the Bosch unit. Unless your main tank is awfully small and your bathtub massive, the 4 gallon unit should work for you. Maybe a demand type thankless heater in your bathtub hot water feed would be a better choice, but be careful to size it properly for your desired flow rate and temperature rise. Also a tankless is likely to require special wiring. |

| Answer: | When the tap is opened, the hot water in the unit flows out. The colder water that was sitting upstream of the unit, enters the unit to be heated. If the tap remains open, the newly heated water flows out, being replaced eventually, (depending on the distance to the main water heater), with the water from the main water heater. You will probably set the unit temperature to equal the main water heater temperature, if you want to keep a constant temperature, but other scenarios are possible. |

| Answer: | Yes, you can use this bowl without the stand. The bowl has a flat bottom with a notch for the cord so it extends to the side rather than straight down. You should probably place some rocks, bricks, or whatever around the bottom just to be sure it holds steady and doesn't tip to one side if something heavy lands on it. |

Since I have a railing that has a 2X6 side piece, I used a hacksaw and cut the stand about 10-12" down and attached a 6" length of appropriate PVC pipe the the side piece and simply dropped the stand into it. | Answer: | Pam, I have a extra bbathon hand, still in the box. Just in case the old one dies on me. I just took it out of the box , I also have a single screw. (have no idea where it goes). The two screws that holds the legs together, should already be in the bracket, you just have to tighten them once you get the legs in the bracket. Hope this helps. |

Thermostat Function & Freeze Protection
- The CAMPLUX mini-tank water heater is equipped with an adjustable thermostat that once set will automatically control water temperature.The red indicator lamp remains illuminated while the water is being heated.
- When the water heater is not being used for an extended period of time and there is a risk of freezing, either unplug and drain the water heater or turn the thermostat knob to the snowflake position to guard against freezing.
Installation Tips for T/ P Relief Valve
Comes with CSA listed temperature /pressure relief valve. Install the T/P valve into the threaded opening at the top of the water heater using heavy duty teflon tape.Do not over tightern! Orient the discharge tubing so that any discharge from the valve will exit within 6 inches above, or at any distance below the structural floor, and cannot any live electrical part.
