Question:	Do you need electric to the tank
Answer:	Yes need 110v plug to fire ignitor.
Question:	Is the remote control optional? if so, how can the unit be turned on/off without the remote? there is no on/off switch on the unit
Answer:	Remote is optional. I have a switch connected to the power which I can turn on and off. In other words the 110v power you need to supply the unit I have an on and off switch to that. My unit runs in the on position so when I open the hot water valve at the faucet it will allow hot water to flow.
Question:	HI, Could you share how you set up the filtering system
Answer:	This unit does not come with a filtering system. You could always purchase a separate filtering system to go along with this heater. The filter has to be installed before the tankless and all proper installation procedures should be followed according to the manufacturer's guidelines and your local plumbing laws.

Question:	Does it work with a mixer tap
Answer:	Yes...
Question:	Does this unit come with remote or is it to be purchased separately
Answer:	The unit does come with a control pad that can be remotely located away from the heater itself. We mounted ours in the laundry room.
Question:	are they quiet
Answer:	Very quiet. The air intake and exhaust can be ported with regular PVC to the outside (through-wall) and thus make no noise.
Question:	does this unit make noise when it is operating
Answer:	If you install the exhaust and intake pipes correctly the unit will emit very limited noise. My installation uses 3" PVC pipe installed through-wall to vent and intake outside air. The unit sounds like a small fan when in operation. I have installed other brands and the noise was usually excessive when the intake piping was incorrectly set up. The incorrect piping made a large vibration or deep humming noise that was very loud. I corrected this by adding an additional 90-degree pipe section to the intake pipe and this did the trick. If you are experiencing noise inside the unit this is not normal and can be a combustion issue.
