We easily resolved it by removing the fill valve cap, then removing, cleaning, and reinstalling the rubber fill valve gasket that's fitted to the underside of the cap, then reinstalling it. Gunk builds up on either or both sides of that black rubber gasket and causes long fill times, filling noise, and even a slight leak. If that doesn't fix the issue, you can replace the entire fill valve unit with a standard/universal one from FluidMaster for around $10. This advice was confirmed by customer service at American Standard.

Answer:	Yes. Tube had hardened after 8 years of use. When replaced tubing, I found the 1059289 Canister Flush Valve Stop Kit (the plastic piece to which the tubing attaches) had cracked, no longer able to twist lock. I will either replace it (original black plastic piece is discontinued - 'appears' to be replaced by flush-valve-repair-kit-1229656 with larger yellow plastic piece) or drill a hole and insert a pin to hold it in place. The teflon tape idea or some 'reversibly' applied rubber cement, might be needed to hold tubing in the valve stop item.

Answer:	The flapper would have a seal on the bottom to seal between the flapper and the flush valve. You would need to get a Flush valve assembly if you are looking for a gasket that would go between the flush valve and the bottom of the tank.

Answer:	This flapper would fit a 4021 tank, but it would depend upon the age of the tank. If your current 4021 tank has a white ridged flapper, this would work. If however you have a red flapper, then this flapper would not be interchangeable.

Answer:	Yes, a clear silicone seal; however the seal started to bubble just like the others after about a year. these seals are just substandard products. I think that they should call it China standard instead of the great American standard............I am going to buy three more seals only from an American manufacturer, it should be resistant to the hard water (Keeney K831-3 3-Inch Replacement Silicone Flapper Seal, Clear)

Answer:	3" is the diameter of the hole in the bottom of the tank that the flapper rests on. The flapper itself is about an inch larger. Older toilets are usually 2" and newer ones are mostly 3". There are a few exceptions. If you see the two sizes together the difference is obvious.

Step 1: Turn off the water(at toilet's base).

Step 2: Flush the toilet and ensure that the tank is fully empty (flush again if necessary).

Step 3: Un-clip the flush chain.

Step 5: Lift the flushing unit out from the toilet tank.

Step 6: Replace the old seal with your new seal (only one seal per toilet).

Step 7: Put the stem back in and twist clockwise to tighten.

Step 8: Reinstall the flush chain.

Step 9: Turn the water back on.

Answer:	To relocate (or remove) the paper towel rack, slide it along the surface to which it is sticking, rather than trying to pull the rack straight out away from the surface to which it is sticking. The magnets are "rubber" coated, so sliding them shouldn't scratch or mar the surface. (Theoretically).

Answer:	Go to a hardware store, iam sure they can help you. Then when you get the nuts, take nail polish and coat the screw, then put on the nut. It shouldn't come off any more. Did you try to contact the manufacturer?
