Question:	Can it be painted
Answer:	Im not really sure. It’s foam with tape around it. You might be able to use some Fusion spray paint to paint it. I’m not sure how well the tape would take the paint, though.
Question:	Can this be used to wrap 2in pvc pipe? And does it block sound from the pipe
Answer:	Would cover 2 inch pipe and deaden, not eliminate sound transfer.

Answer:	Inside diameter is approximately 3.5 inches

Answer:	Yes it will. Perfect for 3" pvc coming up through a slab
Question:	Is this a heat treated roll, or flat stock - which is better for less curl? Also is it true that only the white is UV stable somewhat b/c of pigment
Answer:	This is not heat treated. Heat treatment creates more curl, so, not heat treated means less curl. Only the white is UV rated. Colors are not.
Question:	Does this match protos dark green
Answer:	We use a different manufacturer but ours is just slightly darker than Proto green.
Question:	Want to creat wall panels in basement by gluing your product to green board and trimming in pvc. Looking to use mold resistant materials. Thoughts
Answer:	I don't think this would be good for your basement walls. It is used for covering protecting fiberglass insulation that covers pipe that are outdoors. It would always have a tendency to curl and you'll probably be unable to keep it on your walls. I would investigate Extrutech Plastics, Inc. - P1600 16" Inch Flat Interlocking Wall and Ceiling Liner Panel or something similar.
Question:	Do the white rolls come in 2ft width
Answer:	Unfortunately, no, unless you purchase 10,000 lbs or more.

Answer:	I don't know for sure. In that it is meant to reflect heat I would think so.

Answer:	Depends on what type of heater. Most materials like this are safe to insulate up to 140°

Answer:	I have not done it with just this wrap i put foam pipe wrap first and then this to ensure that the heat is not lost at a high rate for hot and keep from freezing on the cold lines.

Answer:	I used this to wrap heat tape above ground on a vertical piece of galvanized pipe. It withstood the summer sun as well as the daily water from my sprinkler system with very little degradation from either sun or water.

Answer:	Cotton can combust at 120°C. I would advise against using this wrap for your ducting.

Answer:	I don't think it would reduce the sound.

Answer:	I don't think that would work well. The material seems like it would absorb water and mildew or rot.

Answer:	It has keep mine from Freezing and the pipes are out side. It has been below zero here.

Answer:	Yes, it will wrap around 1 inch pipe

Answer:	Yes, 4 tubes each 3ft in length for a total of 12ft
Question:	Can these be used on hot water furnace pipes? These pipes run VERY hot
Answer:	It says for hot and cold pipes, flame retardant, ASTM E85 25/50. We used it on all our water pipes in the crawl space under the house. Hope this helps.
Question:	Is the inside diameter 3/8 inch
Answer:	1 1/8 inch inside diameter. Product starts to fall apart after a year in Phoenix, AZ. If you want narrow, cheapest, thing to buy and use is a foam pool noodle much better insulation.

Answer:	The ID is just over 1 inch, and wall thickness is between 1/4 and 1/2 inch.

Question:	what is the circumference around the outside of the 1 inch insulation tubing
Answer:	If I remember right, I believe it was 1 1/8". I used it on a 3/4" refrigeration line for a litle overlapping with plastic ties, and that was 2 yrs ago. So far, all is well!
Question:	What is the R value
Answer:	For garage doors, it's only 2 or 3. Although an R-value of 22 is mentioned, that's ONLY when two layers of this are used with airgaps (of some inches) between all layers.

Answer:	sorry dont know bought for removable windshield on motorcycle so it wont rip storage bag
Question:	This looks like what i need, except that i need it slit. if i slit it myself, does it diminish the functional integrity in any way
Answer:	I'd say it depends what you're using it for. I used it to slide over my safety bars on my weight rack to quiet the sound of metal hitting metal. If I were to slit it all the way down the middle I don't think any structural integrity would be lost in that case. Hope that helps.

Answer:	That's a no. This is softer foam.

Question:	Can this be used over top your heating tape
Answer:	Do you mean over existing tape? I'm sure you could double wrap with this tape. I used it on outside pipes because the foil acts as an additional heat shield and protects from the suns uv rays. Edit: Instructions say "To avoid fire hazard, do not use with electric heat cable."
Question:	Would this be good if placed on top of a radiator to prevent heat from rising (to protect art work on wall above)? Thank you
Answer:	We used to live in a house with radiators, and we had wood enclosures around them since we had younger kids at the time. I don't think this product would take that degree of heat.
