Answer:	I have cut 18ga. Very easy cuts. I feel it would handle 16 gage.

Answer:	I have been using this to make notches in galvanized flashing and it has worked great so far. I played with it on some scrap pieces before making my critical cuts and after a few minutes I was a pro. The edge guide is sort of a gimmick though. I ended up taking it back off and just following my line by hand. For the price these have been great.

Answer:	Ok, first I am going to assume you meant door skin. I have only used it to cut 26 ga. metal, but the description says it will cut up to 14ga. I can tell you that it goes through 26ga. like a hot knife through butter. I have sided a 40 X 50 barn and the original punch is still like new. Most car metal is 18-20ga. so I am going to guess that it will probably work for you. It is an awesome tool for the money. Well constructed and seems like it will last a long time. It came with an extra punch, but I am still on the original. Only problem is it takes both hands to operate so you will need to have someone hold the piece you are cutting or clamp it down somehow. In any case this is a great tool and I would highly recommend it. Now, if you actually did mean foor skin (I think it is spelled foreskin), then dude, even if it is metal it’s gonna hurt like a mother. Be careful. Don’t go too deep.

Answer:	A replacement came with the tool. I haven't used it enough to replace the original yet. I don't think you would have any problem getting a replacement from the manufacturer.

Answer:	If you mean what thickness of the material, that will vary with the type of material but in mild steel I think you can handle about 0.060 inches without any problem. If you mean how small a circle you could cut, well, the cutter rod is only about 1/8" in diameter so minimum might be 1/4" diameter?
Question:	will it cut 1/2 X 1 inch welded wire
Answer:	It will work great if the wire will go in the cutter. I don't know the gauge of the wire you are trying to cit. The cutter will cut 16ga, and thinner.

Answer:	The maximum recommended capacity for aluminum is 1.2 mm thickness.

Answer:	Knipex carefully avoids mentioning stainless but rates the tool for up to 16ga "iron sheet metal". I have used it on stainless shim stock of both 0.010" and 0.015" eithout a problem.

Answer:	Well It just happens that I am using the shears with one of the many Makita impact drivers but it wasn't without a little preparation. The clamping mechanism off the arm has the two pins that insert into retaining holes on the drill body, but mine did not have them so I simply bore a hole on each side in places that the pins could go. It took me about 5 minutes. Now it fits fine and works very well.

Answer:	This thing works like a champ for cutting thin sheet metal. I've tried several nibblers and this is my favorite. That said, I don't know how well it would work for what you want to do. Dunno about plastic. I measured the jaw opening at 1.89mm.

Answer:	DO NOT GRIND AWAY PART OF THE MOVING CUTTER. This will not work. The non-moving part of the tool is also part of the cutter. If the moving part of the cutter is reduced in size, the material will not be cut and will just bend over without fully cutting it off. You then need to use a Dremel tool to rescue your material from the nibbler...
