Answer:	At 90 degrees, I cut 4x4's to consistent length easily. I also cut three 2x4's to length simultaneously with room to spare at 90 degrees, arranged side by side such that each one stood upright on its short edge (3.5" height from base x 4.5" width from fence). Again, that's at 90 degrees. Keep in mind that depth and width will be reduced by miter & bevel angles. They cut like butter even with the standard included blade, by the way. There's plenty of power.

Answer:	This an old question, but would like to share my experience with using miter saws for cutting steel. Assuming you used the proper blade for cutting steel and other metals there are two considerations, heat and sparks. Trying to use some miter saws that were design for mainly cutting wood you get sparks bouncing back at you and the Kerf plate is usually plastic which will melt from the heat.

Answer:	The blade guard sticks out about 5/8" from the outside surface of the blade. I don't know your application, but after you get used to using the saw, you can approach your material with the saw blade at an angle and carefully grind away at in passes, so that when you are finished, the cut is virtually flush with the wall.

Answer:	That depends upon your cutting depth based on the way the bottom plate adjusts. If your cutting depth is 3/4" or less then there's 1/2" or more from the surface to the motor housing.

Answer:	It can be used for both indoors and outdoors. but I only use it outside for grilling or other activities. I just prefer to not leave it outside in the rain when not in use.I more recommend indoor use. In outside,Large amounts of dust can may affect the Electric Bug Zapper.
Question:	Will it sharpen 12” by 3.5” by 3/8” knives
Answer:	It attracts pretty much anything that flies including a wasp.Keep other household lights to a minimum, so the bugs will be attracted to the light. As they are attracted to the UV bulbs in the machine, and so they will go there, instead of coming to you to bite you.
Question:	Can this machine be used to sharpen gas hedge trimmer blades
Answer:	No, it works during the day too.
Question:	Is there diamond wheel available, I have carbide chipper blades
Answer:	No luck with wasps. Don't think they are attracted to the uv light.
