10 best cabinet table saws
A cabinet table saw is a type of table saw commonly used in woodworking and construction. It's known for its robust construction, powerful motor, and precision, making it a valuable tool for various cutting tasks. Here are some key features and details about cabinet table saws:
Construction and Stability: Cabinet table saws are designed with a heavy-duty cabinet-style base, which provides stability and reduces vibration during operation. This construction enhances accuracy and safety.
Powerful Motor: These saws typically have powerful motors, often exceeding 3 horsepower (HP). This high horsepower allows them to cut through thick and dense materials with ease.
Large Tabletop: Cabinet table saws come with a large, flat tabletop that provides ample workspace for handling large sheets of wood or other materials. The extension wings on either side of the tabletop can be adjusted to accommodate larger workpieces.
Fence System: A precise and reliable fence system is a crucial component of cabinet table saws. It ensures accurate and consistent cuts by keeping the workpiece aligned with the blade during the cut. Many models have T-square or Biesemeyer-style fences known for their accuracy.
Dust Collection: Cabinet saws often have efficient dust collection systems built in, helping to keep the workspace clean and reducing airborne dust particles.
Blade Tilt and Height Adjustment: Cabinet table saws offer easy adjustment of blade height and tilt angles. This feature allows for various types of cuts, including rip cuts, crosscuts, bevel cuts, and dado cuts.
Safety Features: These saws are equipped with safety features like blade guards, riving knives, and anti-kickback pawls to minimize the risk of accidents during operation.
Miter Gauge: Most cabinet table saws come with a miter gauge that helps in making accurate angled cuts. Some models have T-slot miter gauges that provide more stability and precision.
Versatility: Cabinet table saws are versatile and can be used for a wide range of woodworking tasks, from building furniture to cutting joinery and creating detailed, precise cuts.
Price Range: Cabinet table saws tend to be more expensive than portable or contractor saws due to their high-quality components and features. Prices can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on the brand and specifications.
Maintenance: Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and performance of a cabinet table saw. Regular blade sharpening, cleaning, and lubrication are key aspects of maintenance.
In summary, cabinet table saws are powerful, precise, and stable woodworking tools suitable for professional woodworkers and serious hobbyists. Their robust construction and accurate cutting capabilities make them an essential tool in woodworking shops.

User questions & answers
Question: | Has anyone tried putting a lathe on this? If so, does it affect the stability |
Answer: | i dont think so |
Question: | This seems to be out of stock everywhere. Anyone know where I can find one? Is there a comparable one that is available? This seems to be the only |
Answer: | This will be the only strap you will ever need. We could not loosen our whole house water filter aside from breaking it! This strap did the trick, amazingly easy. I cannot answer what he used for leverage, screw driver or something, but boy, are we happy with this thing. |
Question: | will it work with a delta unisaw 36-l300 with 52” fence |
Answer: | According to the specs, what they call the yoke is stainless steal. There is nothing stated regarding the strap. I can't say for sure what material the strap is made from, but it looked pretty heavy duty, and had a lot of strength. |
Question: | Has anyone tried to use the fixed rollers in the back of the saw instead of on the right side of the saw base |
Answer: | I do not think this what you need. This is for oil and fuel filter removal in the automotive and truck field. In its proper use, it works excellent in tight access areas. |

User questions & answers
Question: | can i mount a cast iron extension table for my router on the left side? I dont see any holes |
Answer: | Hey Jeffery.I looked under the table and what I see is that the table itself is an "egg crate" casting to give the table strength with relative weight savings. The edge of the table (left side) has been cast flat, or parallel, with the outside vertical surface i.e. it's not tapered. That is good news for you because it can be drilled. The flat surface on the inside will allow for a washer and nut to hold in place without slipping. The question of router table weight is the concern. If it were mine I would provide a support leg under the attached table, either plumbed vertical or diagonal back toward the base of the saw. good luck. |
Question: | Does the tablesaw come in one box? If not how many boxes and the respective dimensions please |
Answer: | It comes in several boxes stacked on a pallet. The wooden pallet is approximately 3.5 ft by 3.5 ft and it is stacked 4 ft tall. It is all wrapped together on the pallet with plastic wrap. The truck driver moves it around using a pallet jack. |
Question: | Are the trunnions cabinet mounted or table mounted |
Answer: | They do mount to the cabinet frame, but they actually look a lot like the table mounted trunnion brackets. They're an improvement from table mounted trunions, but are not the large industrial yoke style brackets that span from corner to corner of the cabinet that many of us associate with the term "cabinet mounted trunnions". Instead, they bolt to front and rear frame struts...very similar to the Jet Proshop system. You can view the exploded parts pictorial in the manual to get a better idea of the trunnion system. |
Question: | So which would be the best saw to buy: (other than cost) the pm1000 or the 64b? and why? i'm having a tough time deciding |
Answer: | I looked at the same comparison and chose the PM1000. Reasons: (1) Mass. The PM1000 weighs significantly more, and thus will have less vibration/undesired movement during use. (2) Trunnion mounting is reportedly more secure in PM1000 vs 64B. (3) Switch. The magnetic on/off switch of the PM1000 is much more readily accessed with a knee or a blind reach with a hand while keeping eyes on the work. (4) Dust collection. Appears to be much better with PM1000, as long as one has a decent dust collection plan/system. (5) Assembly. (Unsure about this one.) I’ve been told there’s much more assembly to be done with 64B than with PM1000. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i mount the axtra 8-outlet power strip on the table saw |
Answer: | Can't see why not. Look online for Garmin-compatible charts, whether from Garmin or not. (My hiking map, with contours and more trails than the USGS maps, was a free download! Look around.) The eTrex models are waterproof, which is a plus. Think seriously about the display size, though. The whole unit fits in the palm of your hand, and its display is only a couple inches high. (See the specs. I might be off a little.) We hikers and hunters can stop and consult the unit, then start walking again. Your boat might travel quite a distance while you peer at that tiny screen, even with the engine stopped. Just a thought.Garmin obviously had boaters in mind when they programmed this, regardless of its size. It even has a "Man Overboard" function that instantly records its current location, then displays the distance and direction back to there while you turn the boat around. It shows tides, too, at whatever tide stations are close to you. Bottom line: it will do everything you need (I think) and do it all day and on into the next morning on a pair of AA cells, but your eyes will ask you why you didn't buy something with a bigger screen. |
Question: | What are the dimensions of the unit on the stand when closed up. WxHxD? Need to know if it will fit in the storage cubby I have in the garage |
Answer: | The maps that come preloaded are: Worldwide DEM Basemap (NR), Digital Globe demo (Jnx) and USGS Quads - Grand Canyon National Park (Jnx). Unfortunately, you will have to get the topo maps separately. |
Question: | Does this saw accept dado blade set |
Answer: | yes on the compass (electronic) but turn on the WAAS depending on if you set the compass for a true north or magnetic north WAAS gets rid of the errors jumping from satellite to satellite |
Question: | How good would this saw be for a beginning woodworker on a limited budget |
Answer: | The Oregon and all the Garmin "state" models all have a touch screen, don't they? The eTrex series doesn't. For controls it has the Power/battery check button and "back button on the right, and on the left, the zoom-in and -out buttons, plus the Menu button. On the front, at top-right, is the main control, a little thumbstick. Use it for scrolling and selecting menu items and for moving the map beyond your location. You'll want to spend some time reading the manual; this thing has a LOT of functionality. Most important shortcut: no matter how deep you go in the menus, double-tapping the Menu button takes you back to the main screen, with Map highlighted. |

The Risk
According to the Consumer Products Safety Commission, there is a table saw injury every 9 minutes in the United States that result in 10 amputations every day. Even the most safety-conscious woodworkers are at risk of an accident. And when that accident happens, the consequences are life-changing: extreme pain and trauma, loss of income-earning abilities, and loss of the ability to pursue hobbies. It's time to protect yourself.
Professional T-Glide Fence
The Professional T-Glide Fence System is constructed of the highest quality thick-gauge steel. It provides smooth operation, an expansive work surface, precision measurement and sure lockdown without deflection.
99% Dust Collection
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has classified sawdust as a carcinogen. SawStop addresses this safety hazard with the most complete solution available. Combined on a SawStop cabinet saw, the shroud and optional Dust Collection Blade Guard (TSG-DC) capture an industry-leading 99% of created dust.
Available Accessory: Overarm Dust Collection (TSA-ODC).
Built To Last
The proof: A heavy-weight trunnion unlike any on the market, with the thickest arbors of any 10” saws. True vertical trunnion travel, with gas-piston assist for ease of operation. Durable, open gearing for minimal dust compaction and easy operation. Quiet and true poly V-ribbed belts for sure power transfer with minimal vibration.
Mobility Options
The Professional Integrated Mobile Base (MB-PCS-000) has two fixed wheels, two 360 deg. casters, and ergonomic one-foot operation that mechanically lifts the saw in a single motion. The Industrial Mobile Base w/PCS Conversion Kit (MB-PCS-IND) has four 360 deg. casters, and hydraulic piston assist. Three quick pumps of the foot petal raises the saw. These mobile base options make is easy to move your saw around your shop.
Detect
The blade carries a small electrical signal.
When skin contacts the blade, the signal changes because the human body is conductive.
The change to the signal activates the safety system.
Stop
An aluminum brake springs into the path of the blade.
The blade comes to a complete stop and power to the motor is shut off.
Drop
After the blade comes to a stop, the blade's angular momentum drives it beneath the table, removing the risk of subsequent contact.
All of this happens in less than 5 milliseconds.
Reset
Resetting the saw yourself is easy. Simply inspect the blade (and change if damaged) and replace the brake cartridge, and your saw is operational.
