Question:	How well was this product packaged? Did anyone experience damage during shipping? I don't usually buy heavy items like this on-line. Thanks
Answer:	The saw was sufficiently packaged to protect it during shipping. I got mine in perfect condition. The manufacturer's packaging took care of most of the protection, and I'm pretty sure it was over-boxed as well. Hope this helps, and enjoy the saw. I haven't had a ton of use from mine yet, but have done several smaller projects with just a few cuts and have been pleased with the performance (it's not a cheap toy) and ease of handling. The size and weight make it easy to get it out and start cutting, then put away quickly when the job is done.

Answer:	The M1 is the European version
Question:	I see the vertical max is 3 5/8, but could this cut 4x4 lumber
Answer:	No not with one cut. You would have to turn the 4x4 over. Blade is a 7 1/4" diameter, same as a hand held circular saw. From the tip of the teeth to the edge of the washer (at center of blade) I get 2 7/8".
Question:	What's the cross cut capacity if we use the entire sliding action
Answer:	On a straight 90, I can cut 8" wide boards. On a 45, I can cut right around 5-7/8". This saw was a great addition for me, as I'm constantly working in places away from a simple power source (my generator is a beast and not easy to transport). It cuts cleanly, hasn't bogged down yet (even on wet 2x6 treated), and is super light and easy to transport.

Question:	Is the current model that is shipping type 1 or type 20. If you look up the parts diagram the type 20 has a different slide mechanism part number
Answer:	I bought a new one today from a lumberyard and it is a Type 1. (says right on the sticker on the motor) Not sure if that means the slide mechanism is better or worse than the Type 20. I would assume it was made in 2014 because there is a "Dewalt use only" tag on the box which starts with 2014. Not sure if a "fresher" saw is a Type 20

Answer:	mmToolparts actually sells a kit (3 proprietary DeWalt parts + their wiring harness) for less than $70. They have videos on their website that show how to install the parts on DW716, DWS779, and DWS782 saws. You will need some additional tools (torx screw drivers or torx bits, wire strippers/cutter/crimper) and somewhat mechanically inclined. Just google "DWS779 xps light kit" and they should be the top result. This might be an easier option versus going to a DeWalt service center in the post pandemic world.
Question:	Does this miter saw come with a laser or any guiding system
Answer:	It does not come with any laser for guidance. You may find my answer a bit crude, I've been using miter saws for many years and the best guiding system I found to work is my/your eyes. Having lasers or no lasers you still need to use your eyes to get the work piece spot on near the cutoff point. Hope this helps!
Question:	Is there an LED cut line
Answer:	You can add the LED light to this saw. Not a laser but a shadow light that show exactly where the saw blade will cut. I just did it last night. Parts can be had for about $70. This basically turns it into a model 780 which is much more expensive. Pretty simple to add.

Question:	Does it work with regular power or just batteries
Answer:	I bought my PF-500 years ago (like, almost a decade), and I've never had any shutoff issues at all. To be honest, I've never really had any sound quality issues. It's been a solid state amp, that isn't super flashy, that is built like a tank. Not sure if more recent productions have introduced shutoff issues, but as far as mine is concerned... no issues.

Answer:	Yes I have never had a problem with loudness on this (I run it through an Ashdown 4x10). It's billed at about 300 watts if you run it in an 8 ohm setup (i.e. my 8 ohm 4x10 halfstack). But, while I've never tried this, the theory with these heads is that you can string two 4x10s with it to make a fullstack, which would operate it at 4 ohms and give you the full billed 500 watts. But as some people have said, it does depend on your music style and where you play. I play in an indie rock band and we've played in 500-capacity clubs with this head, no problem. But in those cases, they'll usually just send your signal into the house system so your stage volume isn't AS important. At the end of the day, this amp is a really good value, so I say go for it.

Answer:	It didn't for the LF cabinet. Not sure about the HE. I would assume the hardware does come with the HE as the cab is designed to fit the amp inside for ease of portability.

Answer:	Smooth. It slides twice on two sets of bars. I have used their 10" saw for years. I bought this for trim work but it will cut 2x all day. I haven't used the 10" since I bought this one. You will love it.

Answer:	Yes you can. Use a 1/4” Masonite or plywood to bump out the fence to take care of the 1/4”. The smaller blade won’t cut all the way through if you don’t. Works fine for me. And yes it’s easier and cheaper to get the standard 7 1/4” blades than the special 7 1/2”s from Makita.

Question:	How close is the laser to the cut line? Does the laser line move as you lower the saw blade
Answer:	I'm not aware of any movement of the laser as you are lowering the saw down. Although the purpose of the laser is to be able to cut a mark line when the saw is in upright position.

Answer:	Yes they are included, they are attached to the saw. Loosen the thumb screw and slide them out.
