Answer:	No cause for concern. The knives don't cut AS clean, but if it's set up well and you have quality knives, they're just fine and cheap to sharpen/replace. Regarding the other response for this question, you don't sharpen the segmented cutter head carbide inserts... after you rotate them three times, toss them and put some new ones in--they're pretty cheap. You can always get a Lux III or a Byrd as an aftermarket upgrade for this and split up the cost over time if you don't like the straight knives. The segmented heads will deal better with curly figuring and burl with less tear out, they're quieter to use, and better for dust collection. They also add a significant cost, whether you start with one already installed or upgrade on your own later.

The table you move up and down to the thikness of your board. this is a very heavy machine you will need a fork lift or a loader with straps to go over the lifting pins. Its almost 800 lbs without the infeed and outfeed tables mounted. I bought the heave duty mobile base and wired it to a 40 amp 220 1phaze with 8 awg wire.
