Answer:	This model has a drum that is 22” wide (44” if piece is flipped) and the 1632 is 16” wide (32” if piece is flipped). This is why drum sander model numbers have one number which is half of the second number.

Answer:	Hi Malia: I haven't had my machine very long but I've easily sanded wood (red oak) to 1/4" and could probably go down to 3/16". 2mm is closer to 1/8" and I think that might be difficult. Not because of the thickness, really, but more from possible contact between the powered rotating drum and the conveyor feed. I that happens it would risk damaging both abrasive surfaces and replacing either of them is a nuisance. And expensive. The workaround for this would be to construct a very flat wooded platform upon which to feed your desired thickness wood, maybe make it 3/4" thick. Then you could move stuff through with relative impunity. Would need to be careful the abrasive drum wouldn't kick back the sanded pieces since the wooden substrate would lack "traction" like the conveyor does. I'd stand behind the wood pieces and put forward pressure on them as they go through. If it did kick back it probably wouldn't be too big a deal, though I'd be sure to wear safety glasses in case it splits apart. Hope this helps.

Answer:	its designed purpose is for wood however you can sand anything with it if you wish....it may not last as long but will work.

Answer:	I do not believe the belt is designed for wet sanding. I use the product on a Performax sander with success. It is much cheaper than the Performax paper.
Question:	Will this sanding belt hold up when used for wet sanding
Answer:	Yes, that is exactly what it is, one continuous roll. Let me go on further by saying that this is by far, the very best sand paper on a roll that I have ever purchased. In a big mistake, I let this roll go with a sander that I just sold, I sold it because I just purchased the Powermatic 2244 drum sander and of course the 2244 uses this same paper so I have to order another roll. Dollar per dollar, you will not find a better paper or longer lasting paper. If you really want to get the best out of this paper, also buy a sandpaper eraser, probably available on Amazon, and if not woodcraft carries it.

Answer:	No, its more like tightly woven denim jeans. White backing is more flexible but they are discontinueing it for a very stiff grey type backing. I don't think either would behave like Velcro though.

Answer:	It depends. The feed table is 32.5 inches from feed top to the bottom of the stand but then you can add casters or feet. My casters raise the table another 4.25 inches to get to 36.75. If you use the feet that come with it instead of purchased casters (not included) then expect to raise it ~1.5 inches.

Answer:	The drum is 22 inches wide. To sand larger boards you have to flip the price around and pass it through again to cover a 44in span.
