Definitely buy one with a variable speed, like D26453K over the D26451. I returned this model quickly and rely on D26456 for woodworking and home improvement where I need a nice finish. This model definitely didn't come close to meeting my needs. |

I use the little 2 Amp Hour XR batteries and I get a solid 30 to 35 minutes max of non stop sanding before I need to swap batteries. If you have still have your issue with a fully charged battery, return the unit. |
