Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2019 Verified Purchase As of 2019-04-10, the DW6182 still arrives loose in the box, along with a black vacuum fitting and no instructions. (BTW, those aren't instructions on the box and they are easily buried under shipping labels.) The instructions that come with the router also cover the plunge base but, if you no longer have them: 1) Remove the router motor from its current base and take off the height-adjustment ring. The latter is actually part of the base. 2) If the router motor won't quite fit into the plunge base collar, pry open the slot spanned by the black "Locking Lever" buckle. You may need to loosen the Locking Lever nut first. I used a small crowbar between the screw housings of the Locking Lever. A crowbar is thicker, wider and has duller edges than a screwdriver, so it's less apt to mar the screw housings. 3) Turn the motor so that its flat side (opposite the switch side) faces the thick black pillar. I had to turn mine slightly more to one side so a screw housing on the motor would clear the "Scale" pillar. 4) The motor should slide all the way down until it rests evenly on two ridges around the bottom perimeter of the collar. 5) From your other router base, detach the power cord that goes to the wall outlet. Attach it directly to the router motor while using the plunge base. 6) Adjust the Locking Lever nut if the lever doesn't clamp the motor firmly. 7) Use the centering tool that came with the router to align the base with the motor. So far, the base is working perfectly. The flat side on the bottom (instead of a full circle) is especially helpful to me. I use Chemical Guys pads with Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound 105 on the Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbit Polisher and the micro-scratches come right out. In my experience, that's a better combination (of compound and pads) than using this type of pad.

Answer:	The polishing action is very gentle and leaves no swirls or marks on my car's paint but I would talk to a granite sales person about this just to be safe.

Answer:	These pads do not work with a hook and loop system. The center plate that screws down on to the sander holds the pad in place.

Answer:	No--it is for 120 v. I do however use mine in Kenya, which like Australia, uses 230 V, 50 Hz power, using a 2000 W step-down transformer (one of those big heavy ones). I have used this router overseas for over 10 years using the step-down and it is still purring perfectly. You can get 230 V, 50 Hz versions of this router for somewhat more; they are available for example on amazon.co.uk

Answer:	Not, This is to be used with Antenna. For Rogers cable you need their cable box.

Answer:	Good luck on that. It’s not on their website, so I don’t think they male it anymore.

Answer:	Yes the rubber hose end can be crammed on. Better is to get the hose and adapter for Bosch sanders as it is much more flexible.

Answer:	No, it is 60hz. I looked at the sticker on mine to make sure and it says 60hz only

Answer:	Mine arrived was made in Japan too. but it looked like someone swapped the internal parts. coz the oil was leaking from the belt roller housing and had a lot of saw dust right outta the box. so if you see these signs, send it back! amazon waits until you finds out! otherwise they just sold you a used item for new!update: the second shipment also was used.
