Answer:	You do not have to use the foam pad, the advantage is that you can use the sanding pads on an irregular surface. The foam allows it to flex.

Answer:	I don't know what the max rpm are but I have had really good luck with my Dewalt 20 volt set on the #1 setting and the lathe set about 650 rpms. Faster didn't seem to improve the quality.

Answer:	These are tear resistant, the abrasive is on fabric not paper. Be careful when removing from sponge backer, the hook and loop with separate from the sponge.

Answer:	Yes for the most part. They are marked on the back. Most are very clear, but I did have one that was a little hard to read. It was just stamped lightly. However, I kept looking and saw what it was. But The answer is YES. And they are pretty good discs. Just keep them dry. Moisture has an effect on the Ones that are a reddish color. The grey ones aren’t affected as much. They are nice sanding discs. They have worked well for me.

Answer:	most US angle grinders are 5/8 (.625") thread diameter x 11 threads per inch. 14mm is about .551". So clearly a 14mm is to small to thread on a dewalt grinder. You must drill out the center and tap for 5/8 x11. It should work, I have not done it with mine yet. I don't know why they don't just have one with the 5/8 thread.

Answer:	That is correct. The thread on the drive wheel will not fit any grinders here in the US. It is a metric thread 14x1.5mm. I would very much like Amazon to change the drive wheel with the correct thread that suits a US type grinder thread. But I cannot find how or who to contact. I did contact the distributor but they told me to go to Amazon. No luck there
