Answer:	I would use a paste wood polish and apply it by hand with a pad or soft rag. Use the buffer to shine when the polish has set a few minutes. Don't overdo it by exerting a lot of pressure on the table top.

1) Shake well and apply 4-5 drops of V36 to Orange Pad.

2) Prime pad with Pad Conditioner.

3) Dab product out evenly across 2' x 2' section.

4) Turn on machine on surface to speed setting 1 to spread product.

5) Increase speed to 5-6 and using moderate pressure.

6) Work area in 2-3 passes until product becomes clear.

7) Examine results. If you are satisfied with results, proceed to step 10.

Answer:	Yes that’s basically what I use is 10” polishing pad for aluminum and stainless steel. I use a 6000 rpm for cutting then use this one for final stage of polishing since it’s a lower rpm at 3500. I like this one for final stage as I can turn it down to 2000 rpm for a final mirror finish.

Answer:	Can, I use a 5 inch. I usually buy DeWalt products but this one I don't really recommend. I would go for the Makita. This polishe has a problem with 800 then to 600. It's very troublesome with product flying.

Question:	I have this machine...what do i need to do to learn how to correct paint to a great finish
Answer:	Go to the junk yard and buy several panels. Use the machine for about 200 hours. (No, I'm not kidding). THEN, you can use it on an actual car. Not saying that you can't use it before then without screwing something up bad, but don't come near my car with it! Seriously, watching Youtube and all is great but do not use this without some practice on things that won't matter if you screw up. Also, learn the difference between things you do with this that you can fix (like with a random orbital) and things you do that you can't fix.

Question:	What is the smallest/largest pads you could use with this
Answer:	For what it comes with, a 6" pad. You could also install either a 5" backing plate or possibly a 3" plate as well and use the appropriate pads (3-5.5" pads respectively). I would not use anything outside that range for polishing paint. There MIGHT be carpet and upholstery brush attachments for this unit (which is what I use it for exclusively) that are 6.5". I'm not sure, but for paint, see above.
Question:	Does the polisher come with a backing plate? Can I just use it out of the box
Answer:	There is no backing plate with this, I just received my 7424XP and had to pick the plate up from Home Depot before I could use it. The only thing included is a polishing pad.
Question:	How would this compare with a dewalt dwp849x 7-inch/9-inch variable speed polisher . it’s the cheaper of the two options so i need some advice
Answer:	Better is a matter of opinion, so, this is difficult to answer. Not entirely sure what you are trying to accomplish. Are you intending upon becoming a professional detailer? Are you intending to detail your car and friends/relatives, i.e. concerned amateur. How often do you want to use this? I detailed 3 cars and once detailed, I keep them cleaned and polished and sealed. I will never let my cars get to the situation where a polisher is needed. So, I don't intend to use it unless someone else wants their car detailed. I don't intend upon becoming a professional, if I did, I would get a Flex 3401 VRG direct drive DA which means a great combination of a DA and rotary but it is costs more than the 7424XP and the DWP849x together. (currently Flex is made in Germany but owned by a Chinese company). Both Porter-Cable and DeWalt are owned by Stanley, Black & Decker and both are made in Mexico. If country of origin matters, and since both are made in Mexico there is no difference. The DWP849x has soft start and the tigger is variable speed up to the speed you select, and you can lock the trigger into the full on position (where it will run at the speed you've selected). I've had the chance to use the DWP940x and for my application, I'd rather not spend $200 and 7"/9" is not required. If you want to use "normal" sized pads, you'll need to gat an additional backing plate, like a 5" or 6" Larger pads are available but leaves you with less choices and are typically more expensive. If you go with DWP849x, I'd recommend a smaller backing plate (I believe the "rating" of 7"/9" just means you can use larger backing plates and pads) with either a 5" or 6" backing plate (roughly $8-$20). You could damage your car if you use a smaller pad than the backing plate. A pad should always be larger than the backing plate, but obviously not too large a difference (like 3" backing plate with a 7" pad). The Porter Cable does not come with a backing plate, but I bought some pads and there was a special offer (from the place that I bought it) that the backing plate was "free" if you bought 3 pads. To me (and only me) the extra $80 for the DWP849x, I'd rather have the 7424XP and spend the money on pads/backing plates and products (polish, sealant/wax, decontaminates, clay bar, etc.); keeping in mind that you'd still have to buy those anyway. If you are a true beginner, the lower cost 7424XP would be a great starting point. The DWP849x weighs just over 3 lbs. and the 7424XP is nearly 6 lbs. But the weight of the 7424XP means that I used the weight of the polisher to apply the pressure instead of applying pressure by hand.

Answer:	The backing plate is removable on the waxer/polisher by removing a screw that is recessed in the center of the apparatus. Answer:	I wobbles so it won't burn the paint. The buffers that don't wobble and have a variable speed will burn the paint if you are not careful. An inexperienced person can make serious using the type that does not wobble.
Question:	Can a different pad (or back plate) be fitted to allow sanding disks to be fitted
Answer:	There is a centered philips head screw which holds the back plate in place. so I guess you could mount a different plate to it.

Question:	Will this work with the m105 ultra cut compound and 205 polish and do i use the same pads
Answer:	You could use this with that compound, but I recommend you switching the foam out to either the cutting disc or the brown pads which were designed for cutting/compounding/ polishing. The yellow foam I believe is for waxing. It'll still work, but you will have to go over the spot you're polishing more times.
Question:	I want to get this for my husband for Father's Day. What is the best type of drill to use with this system
Answer:	I would recommend using it with a drill that develops at least 1200 rpm. I have mine connected to a corded Makita power drill that gets up to >1500 rpm - IIRC. The drill is a bit heavy, so I decided to try the DA head on my recently acquired Porter Cable battery powered driver - but it did not develop enough RPM to get the DA head turning fast enough. The DA head has a gearing mechanism inside it that reduces the input RPM, so if the drill isn't putting out enough, the DA head will not work well at all. That said - I highly recommend the DA head system for polishing / waxing your car. It makes the work really easy, with VERY good results. A few days ago and polished my Infiniti G20 in about 2 hours. Go ahead and also get the different pads - compound, polish and wax, together with the corresponding Meguiar's liquid polish. You would have great results! Hope that helps.
Question:	I have a drill with maximum RPM 1650. It is not 3500. Will this product work with my current drill
Answer:	Honestly, I wouldn't use it with anything other than the max speed recommended (which is still half the speed of my 12v corded DA polisher that goes up to 6400rpm's). I tried this product with a drill similar to yours, and while it does work, it just takes a LOT more time and effort to get results. It does work on light scuffs and swirls, but anything more takes an incredible amount more effort than it should.
Question:	Does it comes with the YELLOW G3508 Polishing Power Pads or do i need to buy them separately
Answer:	Yes it comes with one pad but I would suggest that you buy another if you are using multiple products (ie rubbing compound and polish). These pads are pretty tough though and can be easily washed and reused.

Using Meguiar’s DA Power System for best results

To remove below surface defects like oxidation, light scratches, swirls, water spots, oxidation, bird dropping etchings and stains use Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound with DA Compound Power Pads – G3507.

Dispense a small amount of Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound onto a clean Red DA Compound Power Pad. Work in a 2’ x 2’ section with 3 to 4 overlapping passes using moderate pressure. Keep the pad moving slowly over the paint. Re-apply as needed to remove stubborn defects. Wipe the compound off before it dries with a clean microfiber towel.

Polishing –

To remove very light swirls while maximizing shine and reflectivity use Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish with DA Polishing Power Pads – G3508.

Answer:	As of this writing, Mothers California Gold Synthetic Wax is our newest formula. It is richer, thicker, and has more of the gentle polishes as well as better durability. It effectively replaces FX SynWax, which has been discontinued. The Reflections Car Wax and Top Coat, when used together, is a quite different formulation and is two steps vs. the one-step California Gold Synthetic Wax. Personal preference starts coming into play when you start comparing such different products, but I'd suggest the Synthetic Wax for most applications on paint in good- to excellent condition.
Question:	Is this a large stroke polisher
Answer:	Carpro ech2o advertises itself as a clay lubricant so *might* by appropriate. However, personally I would use a high quality car wash with good lubricity (currently using Meguirs Gold and it's very good) if I was claying during washing. If I was doing a more comprehensive clean where I was stripping the wax off the vehicle, I would use a spray bottle with dish soap and water.
Question:	Fo you have a video review of the polisher
Answer:	Clays -- whether traditional poly clay or clay substitutes -- do not generally remove water spots, unless they are light mineral deposits. Etching generally requires a glass polish for glass; or a paint polish or compound for paint. Water spots and etching can vary greatly depending on the cause of the etching.

Answer:	The Hayward SP2315X20 2 HP Max-Flo XL Standard Efficient Single-Speed Medium Head Pump is an pump assembly with pump housing, strainer basket, strainer cover, and motor. It includes 1-1/2" / 2" union connection kit for adapting to plumbing.
Question:	Can you fit 3 inch cutting pad and foam on this polisher too? I need to be able to reach tight spots on cars
Answer:	It’s important to know the infrastructure or the piping System. Whether or not it can handle the added pressure. Particularly if you have an unground pool with under ground piping .. you don’t want to leak ... need a plumber or knowledgeable pool technician to have it checked out ... also your electic bill in increase adding more to the cost of operation..
Question:	Does this have the ability to stay turned on without pressing the trigger? Thanks
Answer:	I would assume so as it is powered through a normal 120 volt connect. The pump is a on / off configuration so there is no switching requirement. If the aqua links uses a variable speed controller or VFD (variable frequency drive) to control the motor then you have to check with the manufacturer.
Question:	Which product should I buy for buffing out auto scratches
Answer:	As I understand it, maximum gpm is determined by intake size. This has a 1 1/2” line, so it can handle 42gpm.
