| Answer: | I'm not sure about that, but I suspect that means a greater number of sanding sheets. Beside that, the one I got died after only about six months of use, and I don't mistreat my tools. I won't order this again. When you buy the batteries these days, what you often get is ones that don't seem to last nearly as long as the ones we used to get in the early days. I sent an email to Ryobi which I've not gotten a response to. |

| Answer: | These will work PERFECT for that! They are rigid enough to hold Firmly but will not scratch or scar barrel. |

| Answer: | Both get hot, so I let both cool down every 15 or 20 minutes. Remember, you are running a "dead short", meaning the power supply puts power down the cable to the "knife" (its really a metal tube or wire), and the power wires are then connected together, causing a short circuit, which makes the wire hot so it can cut the foam. So, the "knife" gets hot, 400-500 degrees, which melts the foam. The power supply also gets hot, cause it is now feeding electricity into that dead short, so it is "shorted out", which generates a ton of heat at the power supply as well. Since it has a transformer in it to lower the voltage, and the transformer is comprised of a large coil of wire, and a smaller coil of wire, those get hot and can melt, and then fail. So, don't just switch to the second knife they give you, without letting the power supply rest and cool down, or you will burn it out. Probably more important to give the power supply a rest than it is to give the knife a rest. I'm not an electrician, but I am a computer repair technician, and have a hobby interest in electronics in general. Mine works great, no failures yet and I've used it for several hours total, 20 minutes at a time. |
