User questions & answers
Question: | What charger and battery does this take? Would be helpful to have that info easily available |
Answer: | Possibly because there are matches included in the 'survival' items. Which... I guess could be considered 'hazardous'...especially if it is shipped in cargo that winds up going in an airplane. I agree that Amazon should NOT take an order... if the item(s) they are selling cannot be shipped to certain states in the USA. It's Amazon't job to know this sort of stuff. Having said that... I live in Texas... and, am getting ready to order one of these survival knives. Hopefully, it WILL be delivered to me, in Texas... and... if so... the matches that are advertised to be included in the handle of the knife... are, in fact.... there?! We shall see?! |

User questions & answers
Question: | does it come with a hard or soft case |
Answer: | A regular grinding stone won't do. You'll either have to buy a special sharpener or take it to a knife sharpener. I recommend a professional. Curved blades are difficult to manage and the serration you won't have to worry to much about sharpening. |
Question: | Does anyone else have problems with nails not shooting in all the way |
Answer: | There is a lock and the handle called a liner lock. When you depressed this be careful as the Blade closes it will be very sharp. |
Question: | Does Ridgid honor the lifetime warranty if purchased through Amazon |
Answer: | Not an actual lock. Most liner locks, as this one, use a small ball that drops into a hole when the blade closes. It clicks the blade in place when it closes but it doesn't 'lock' it. |
Question: | Does this product come with the battery and charger |
Answer: | The tang of the blade goes about 1/2 into the handle, and a Allen screw goes through the hilt into the tang. I have read some say the compass is no good, but mine points in same direction as my Cammenga and Vitorinox. I put three coats of Flex Seal on the metal handle, it makes for a better feel. I think it is a pretty good knife (or mine is) Hope this helps. |

Question: | Whose 18 ga brads does it use |
Answer: | Yes, this sharpening stone is good for sushi knife, many customers buy it to sharpen their sushi knife. |
Question: | Need all the spect sheet to order parts |
Answer: | The stone is about 7x1x2 inches |
Question: | I have one but the tip broke. Is there any way i can just order the tip |
Answer: | After using it ,a mixture of stone and fine steel residue is left. Wipe or wash it clean, let it air dry. When it feels dry place it in the holder and put it in the box it came in till you are ready to use it again. This is all that I do. |
Question: | is this model electric driven cause the picture shows a connection for an air hose |
Answer: | In the slot where the blade comes from you will see a knurled piece of metal that has a slight bend to it. Carefully push that piece to the left so that it looks straight again, now very carefully push the blunt side of the blade to close the knife. Be carefull the blade is very sharp. Once you open and close the blade a few times, it becomes easy. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this come with any starter brads, or do I need to buy some |
Answer: | Shows the direction of the air exiting gun. You can direct it away from yourself. |
Question: | Can the new lithium+ batteries be charged in old style charger |
Answer: | Seller says "not recommend", but ¼" narrow crown staples (about 1" long) were used to hold the old carpet down in my RV, and boy was it hard to rip up! I don't agree with seller saying to only use the 9/16 wide staples. I mean think about this, your about to be using an air tool to deliver staples, so what does it matter if it takes 1 second more to punch in a few extra of these small staples instead....I promise it will hold carpet down that a bear could't rip out! |
Question: | The firing pin in both guns I tried sticks. Does anyone else have this problem |
Answer: | Hi Jeff, The staples STRADDLE the center metal strip, hope this helps. Steveguy |
Question: | Does this work with finish nails? What size? what battery? I have 3 P103 li-ion 18v batteries, will they work |
Answer: | You need an air compressor with an air tank with some capacity. Along with the NuNax brad nailer I purchased the Senco 1.0 horsepower PC1010 aircompressor. It is extremely quiet and its small air tank has more than enough copacity for this brad nailer. I can highly recomend both. |
