13 best ryobi brad nailers

Ryobi is a well-known brand in the power tools industry, offering a wide range of tools and equipment for various applications, including woodworking and construction. Among their product offerings are brad nailers, which are essential tools for woodworking and carpentry tasks. Here's some information about Ryobi brad nailers:

  1. Types of Brad Nailers: Ryobi manufactures both pneumatic and cordless brad nailers. Pneumatic brad nailers require an air compressor to operate and are known for their consistent power and reliability. Cordless brad nailers, on the other hand, are powered by rechargeable batteries, providing greater mobility and convenience.

  2. Brad Nail Size: Ryobi brad nailers are compatible with a range of brad nail sizes. Brad nails are typically thin, small-gauge nails used for fastening delicate trim, moldings, and other woodworking materials. Ryobi's brad nailers accommodate different nail lengths to suit various woodworking projects.

  3. Depth Adjustment: Many Ryobi brad nailers feature depth adjustment settings, allowing users to control how deep the brad nails are driven into the material. This feature is essential for achieving the desired finish and preventing damage to the workpiece.

  4. Jam Clearing Mechanism: These nailers are equipped with a jam-clearing mechanism that helps prevent nail jams and facilitates quick and easy clearing if a jam does occur, reducing downtime during your projects.

  5. Magazine Capacity: The magazine of Ryobi brad nailers typically holds a varying number of brad nails, depending on the model. A larger magazine capacity can reduce the frequency of reloading nails, increasing efficiency.

  6. Safety Features: Ryobi prioritizes safety in their brad nailers. They often come with safety triggers and anti-dry fire mechanisms, ensuring that nails are only fired when the tool is properly engaged with the work surface.

  7. Ergonomic Design: Ryobi designs its brad nailers with user comfort in mind. These tools often have ergonomic handles and grips to reduce hand fatigue during extended use.

  8. Warranty: Ryobi typically offers a warranty on their power tools, including brad nailers. The warranty duration and terms may vary, so it's essential to check the specific warranty information for the model you choose.

Ryobi brad nailers are popular choices among both DIY enthusiasts and professional carpenters due to their versatility, reliability, and the convenience of cordless options. When selecting a Ryobi brad nailer, consider your specific woodworking needs, the type of brad nails you plan to use, and whether you prefer a cordless or pneumatic model to find the best fit for your projects.

User questions & answers

Question: How does this perform on solid hardwood like oak or maple? My 18g Paslode performs great but I'm tired of fuel cells, and expensive repairs
Answer: How much do you spend on repairs and fuel cells? do the math and see if it make sense for you. There is no ongoing cost for this exept nails and it seems to work pretty good, Im sure it would preform well on solid hardwood (it will go through a formica countertop no problem and into wood below it). It's a semi precision tool and it wont take much abuse, but overall it really has alot more power than i thought it would. I'd say go for it.
Question: What kinda nails does it use, e.g. Bostitch, Freeman, etc
Answer: I cannot get my 320 to work with Porter Cable 16 gauge x 2" "Straight Finish Nails." They have a slight "head" to the nail and it seems to stop the gun from working. I've tried adjusting the pressure with no effect.
Question: which battery and why doesn't Amazon have a link for that under Frequently bought together
Answer: I don't know how you can do the whole house with one battery, I change batteries every 10 minutes, I would like to know what battery you have so I can order it
Question: Will it work with 16D framing nails
Answer: No it will not. It only works with 18 gauge straight brads. Ignore stop_go_boom's response, as the P325 uses 16 gauge brads, and 16 gauge is not the same as 16D. Look for a framing nailer. This is more suited to light trim work.
Question: What power does this brad nailer run on
Answer: This nailer runs on Ryobi 18v one+ battery.
Question: can you used it for framing
Answer: Not for Framing this is a finish nailer
Question: Can you adjust for the depth the nail goes into the wood
Answer: Yes. There is a dial which works easily. I love this brad nailer!
Question: Can you adjust for the depth the nail goes into the wood
Answer: After speaking with the vendor, They confirmed that you can adjust nails anywhere between 5/8 - 2 in. What you would do is dial the knob that's on the right side of the tool.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with any starter brads, or do I need to buy some
Answer: Shows the direction of the air exiting gun. You can direct it away from yourself.
Question: Can the new lithium+ batteries be charged in old style charger
Answer: Seller says "not recommend", but ¼" narrow crown staples (about 1" long) were used to hold the old carpet down in my RV, and boy was it hard to rip up! I don't agree with seller saying to only use the 9/16 wide staples. I mean think about this, your about to be using an air tool to deliver staples, so what does it matter if it takes 1 second more to punch in a few extra of these small staples instead....I promise it will hold carpet down that a bear could't rip out!
Question: The firing pin in both guns I tried sticks. Does anyone else have this problem
Answer: Hi Jeff, The staples STRADDLE the center metal strip, hope this helps. Steveguy
Question: Does this work with finish nails? What size? what battery? I have 3 P103 li-ion 18v batteries, will they work
Answer: You need an air compressor with an air tank with some capacity. Along with the NuNax brad nailer I purchased the Senco 1.0 horsepower PC1010 aircompressor. It is extremely quiet and its small air tank has more than enough copacity for this brad nailer. I can highly recomend both.

User questions & answers

Question: Can i use this to install baseboards
Answer: Some batteries will, some won't. I have three from blue/black Makita-only one fit. I bought no-name and it fits and works great. Best thing to do is contact battery mfg. and ask as to your specific drill model #. Makita dropped the ball on this one! The XFD11ZB is a great drill with lots more power and battery life.
Question: Can this gun shoot staples
Answer: I don't understand the question. Are you asking where the Makita drills are manufactured? If so, they are all made in China. The batteries are manufactured in many countries.
Question: I have a section of yard fence to replace. The nails are long enough. 2 inch, would this unit be acceptable for this use
Answer: Case is a blown or vacuum formed plastic. The hinges are formed as part of case. So they're plastic. The just have a steel pin holding the 2 halves of case together

User questions & answers

Question: Will this be fine in South Africa? With regards to charging
Answer: 225-01 flex attachment will fit perfectly.
Question: What battery does this come with? the description says “18-volt one+“ which is the lithium ion. but the photo shows the standard 18v battery
Answer: Well the gun really doesn't work with a 80 gallon compressor. It would even set the nail into ply wood. Really finish nailers don't use much air almost any size compressor would work just need 100 psi (they say 90 but really who ever does that).
Question: Does it staple as well
Answer: Mine came with the 2gallon 125psi compressor... CAUTION: make sure the nailer/staplers input air pressure is at the manufacturers recommended settings, usually around 90psi - too high a pressure can blow out the o-ring seals in the nailer. (this happened to me @approx 110psi) ... Nailers and staplers dont use much air so your 1 gallon compressor should be adequate. Of course, if you're doing a lot of nailing at one time it will cause your compressor to run more frequently.
Question: Hi... does this kit come with a case
Answer: Don't know, but if it happened to me, I would go on-line to the company's web site and search for the manual.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this the P320 or P854? Title and descriptions are different
Answer: Yes it does It fits on the base clamp and REPLACES the "project" sliding clamp. It consists of a mounting ring, a dremel tool nut to hold the ring on the dremel tool, and a wrench.Perhaps Amazon will allow pictures to be included in the answers someday. (Hint, Hint) After all "a picture is worth a thousand words"
Question: Is the charger usage voltage of this product 100-240 V
Answer: I have used the Dremel since 1990 to carve deer antler, through trial and error I found many ways to make this tool work for what I turned into a very successful art career and business although you will hear all about different carving moto tools that other carvers will claim are the best, bottom line for its bang and a buck the dremel moto tool is your diamond in the rough.
Question: What kind of staples does this use
Answer: No. You can buy small bits separately, but this item doesn't include drill bits.
Question: How long does the battery take to charge
Answer: Yes Ralph, it has a sturdy carrying case and is molded inside to fit everything, so the accessories stay in their places when the unit is closed. It sits up by itself like a brief case for easy storage. The Dramel 3000 logo is embossed on the outside. Everything is functional after taking time to read the directions - a well-made unit!!! I wrap the cord in a little twine to keep it secure in the case. The instructions are clearly written, so take the time to become familiar with every phase of the unit. Enjoy!!

User questions & answers

Question: does it come with a case
Answer: The Ryobi Model P320 is a brad nailer. It uses brad nails (glue strip collated) from 5/8" to 2". The battery for this brad nailer is Ryobi P108 Lithium High Capacity Battery. If you need a finish nailer, please consider the Ryobi Model P325. It uses finish nailes (glue strip collated) from 3/4" to 2-1/2". It also uses the same P108 battery. Use only 18 Volt One+ Batteries with these tools and the 18 Volt One+ Battery Charger.
Question: Will this shoot into Hardy house siding
Answer: Yes, it does. I'm not sure why all of these people are claiming it can't. The shape of the socket is basically a square rotated 45 degrees. This means you can put the attachment in 4 different ways. The tool attachment as 4 extra cuts, but it fits the same. This means you can put it vertical OR horizontal. However, because of the size of the vice, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to fit it vertically from the bottom. However, vertically from the top should work, but you won't see that much and it may also push the bit into the vice. So there is a clearance issue. Better would be to have it at an angle. However, you can put the attachment in vertically, so maybe there is enough room. I don't have a Dremel at the moment. If you gave me a few measurements, I could give a more definitive answer; however from the tool attachment and from the way that the vice is designed - it should work. The only complication I can come up with is clearance.
Question: does it come with battery and charger
Answer: there is no power source. This is a vise that can hold your work or it has an adaptor that it hold your Dremel tool, which is a good feature. It is not heavy duty, it is for light work. I use it to hold circuit boards and small light items. I like the adjustable positions and the size of the opening of the jaws.
Question: Will it go through oak baseboard
Answer: Yes! I just tried it. The nut that secures the flexi shaft holds the vices plate secure. You can call Dremel, but I'm sure they will say no. They have this policy of one attachment only. I asked them if the multi-pro chuck would work with the 667 (?) Light attach., and they said No, but they work great together! PS:the older model shaft's nut is small, I don't think I would do it for safety reasons (a new shaft cost less than $35., or just hang the Dremel tool (need advise on 90% of Dremel tools just call 505-394-4357 ask for Boyd.

User questions & answers

Question: What power does this brad nailer run on
Answer: Yes it works great. You just need to make sure that the nails are long enough for your project.
Question: can you used it for framing
Answer: It comes with a few. Maybe 50 to 100. It just depends on what Ryobi puts in the bag
Question: Can you adjust for the depth the nail goes into the wood
Answer: No they can't -- I just spoke to a Ryobi rep in Home Depot about it. On the other hand, the Lithium chargers can charge the old style orange alkalilne batteries
Question: Can you adjust for the depth the nail goes into the wood
Answer: I have used mine shooting both 1" & 2" nails and haven't experienced any problems. When you get to the end of a stick of nails, it will sometime jamb, but that's easily fixed by opening the nailer head and removing the jam. I am using the large lithium battery and it has much more driving force which may eliminate the firing pin from sticking. If I didn't know it was a refurb, I would think it was new. There wasn't any marks on it, and I love it. Try using the larger battery....it may solve your problem.

Question: Does it use different length brads
Answer: We used it with the 1-5/8 inch brads to put up lattice work that is probably 1/2 inch thick. We haven’t tried it on 3/4 inch thick wood, but since the fence slats don’t have to carry a load, they should stay in place pretty well.
