Answer:	I doubt that it is rigid enough for quality work. I bought this because it's lightweight. It's easy for a 70 year old to use, but it's not strong like the Grizzly. I did get some chatter just milling untempered aluminum. I bought the heaviest (most expensive) version of this little table.

Answer:	i think the varied answers come from questions getting sent to people who have purchased different sizes. I noticed some of the reviews are also for other models. This item, the WEN 4208 has an 8-inch swing. So, you can drill the center of an 8- inch diameter object, or about 4- inches from drill center to body. The WEN 4210 & the WEN 4212 have 10- inch swings. Anyone trying to drill the center of a 9- inch wheel would need one of these models. This 4208 is a Great drill for the money. i like that the head can be swung over the edge of a work bench, which allows for drilling into long stock. Like into the bottom center of a 36" post. The beveling work table is another great feature & one i did not have on the press this will replace. If you have the space, consider the WEN 4214 with 12-Inch swing. it is still small enough to be bench top, but you can drill the center of 12- inch/ bowls & table tops.

Answer:	Wouldn’t be practical for this small machine. The machine is designed for light steel and alloys. Only accommodates mill ends with 1/4” shanks. Torque would also be an issue. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Head is fixed to up and down but you can shim the cross slide to level or to tram. Nice little machine I bought the collet head from a British supplier for much less.

Table Travel

The M1036 table can be moved in 2 axes. Each axis is independently controlled by a crank handle which features a graduated dial to accurately position the workpiece in relation to the cutting tool. According to the Mr. Beer forum, it will introduce off-flavors into the keg (and also the bottles) that won't go away (http://community.mrbeer.com/topic/32883-rootbeer-bottleskit/?hl=%2Broot+%2Bbeer). So I guess it's best to skip the keg and use bottles 'dedicated' to root beer.

Answer:	You should have no problem if the beer has finished ferminting. The plastic bottles have a great deal more flex than you might think. However, reguardless of the type cap you use, don't drop one or be prepared to clean up a mess.

Answer:	You can get free software. I grbl is free to convert STL to GCODE. Anything that can generate a STL file will work.

Answer:	There are some basic clamps that use bolts placed in the t-track of the bed.

Question:	Is this too loud for someone living in an apartment? Is it quieter like a Dremel, or more like a more powerful power tool
Answer:	I have this in an apartment and I run it as part of a business. The noise level depends on what you are doing with it. When doing light engraving it's not too bad. However, when cutting/milling with a spiral up-cutting bit or doing a deeper v groove/engraving, it is quite loud and it is even louder now that I have the 20000 RPM spindle (highly recommended for proper feeds/speeds by the way). As Brian mentioned, the dust is an issue as well. To address both of these issues, I built an enclosure similar to the one by James Dean Designs; however mine is simpler and lined with pink insulation foam that I cut into sound foam with a larger V bit. This contains the dust and noise for the most part. I also had to put extra TPU feet under the machine inside the enclosure to dampen the vibrations. Even with these precautions I only run my PROVer during business hours for noise reasons. The only problem with the enclosure is that is makes it a bit difficult to reach the sockets in the back if you are going to be switching between and spindle and laser engraver. IF YOU BUILD AN ENCLOSURE BE SURE TO MOUNT THE EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON ON THE OUTSIDE.
