Answer:	I am sure water will work on it. It sharpens fine, but the threads where the guide rod screws in were all buggered on the unit I got, and the “F” clamp that came with it was of poor quality and did not work, and I have never seen a “F” clamp that would not work. Very poor quality clamp.

Answer:	No way in the world I would pay over $100 for this. Its probably a vendor just taking a chance at a high sales price when a cheaper vendor dropped out.

Answer:	The Rikon Slow Speed Grinder has one mounting hole on each side. The spacing is 6 1/4" center to center of the holes.

Answer:	Correct it will fit. I had to do some light sanding to remove some minor surface gunk and improve the fit on the arbor to get the cbn to fit. (600 grit on a board against the running motor’s arbor) Additionally I added the pair of matching domed washers to improve centering of the wheel.

Answer:	2 holes at the bottom for bolts to secure to a bench. Place Bench Grinder on workbench, use holes as a template and mark with pen the 2 positions for the bolts. Remove Grinder, drill holes and secure with bolts, washers and nuts. Ten minutes.

Answer:	The advantage to having a variable speed is two fold: The slower speed is generally used for sharpening and honing while the higher speed is for removing material faster and buffing/polishing with a polishing wheel or wire wheel. The slower speed creates less friction and therefore less heat while the higher speed (with a grinding wheel) creates more heat.

Answer:	The stone isn't bent, its the mandrel washers that are on both side of the wheel that are not true. Mine are the same way. I tried to contact WEN, never got a response

Answer:	Nameplate says 120 volts 4.2 amps when multiplied, it equals 504 watts. One HP is equal to 746 watts by definition. If it was 100% efficient, which is not possible by the Laws of Physics, it would be 504 divided by 746 or .676 HP. Since most motors are only 90% efficient, that would be .676 times .9 = .608 HP.
