Makita Corp is in Japan, but as with all tool manufacturers they have component plants in cheaper labor counties even if they have assembly plants in higher wage countries. But my Makita's of late, all seem to be made and assembled in China.

Answer:	You pour the liquid you want to make ice cubes between the cylinder and the outer part. Put the lid on and freeze. When frozen you remove the cylinder and squeeze the outer part and the ice cubes come out. You pour the cubes into the cylinder and use. I make Cherry Coke ice cubes with mine to drink with Cherry Coke so it doesn't get watered down.

The item was fine as a basic grinder, but if you wanted stuff to add Bosch discontinued support. I bought the Bosch 1810PS 4-1/2-Inch Paddle Switch Grinder with Lock-On Switch instead which had the add on goodies available. I'm really grateful to Amazon because Bosch could care less that they advertized stuff that wasn't any longer available. Many of their tools are excellent, but some are lemons, and the company doesn't honor its claims.Good luck

Answer:	Yes, for continuous operation, slide the switch toward the front of the tool and press the forward part of the switch inward. To stop the tool while operating in continuous mode, press the rear part of the slider switch and release.

Answer:	Junk. Gave out the 2nd time I used it. Better off with another brand. All I use now is ridgid as they are guaranteed once you register your tool.

Answer:	My experience with the grinder does NOT have any automatic shut-off function. A pinch situation (whether manually controlled or in the locked-trigger function) will NOT engage any safety feature at all.

Answer:	This is designed for 7" grinding wheel. To cut concrete a dimeond disk will work.
