Answer:	I would check the pinion gear in the head. Mine when I bought it had hardly any good grease in it and made noises. After apply a good amount of grease and 1 tablespoon of 90w gear oil runs fantastic.

And i am abusing them on a daily bases quite systematically. If i was to take a guess then i would say that most likely it has the brushes on it, otherwise they would have marketed it as being brush-less
