| Answer: | In my experience as a custom cabinet maker I've noticed the cfm of the 2 4" ports together is about the same as (in my case with a shop fox) when you remove it and use a 6" port. Though covering one of the 4 inch ports while not as powerful as the 6 inch port it is stronger suction than than leaving both open. That being said. It's really 6 in one. Half a dozen the other. |

| Answer: | I would not recommend it. If you spin the filter handles as recommended you shouldn’t have to clean out the filter very often. Maybe once every other bag or so depending on what you are doing. |

| Answer: | I believe that the CFM is 1100, but that is without air restrictions such as dirty filter, pipes, hose fittings, etc. The restrictions add up when you change the size of pipe, length of pipe. The suction at the end of hose decreases dramatically when it gets to 1-1/4 . The dust collectow is capable of running two machines at once, given that the dust port is no smaller than 2" or greater. It will do 1-1/2 fairly good. Tried on some sanders that had small dust ports like 1-1/4 to 1", didn't do well. I wouldn't go any smaller than 1-1/4. Might have to go 2" to 1-1/4 or smaller with short fittings to avoid loss of suction. |

| Answer: | When I here the phrase "cyclonic dust collector system", that typically means a dual stage dust collection system that has a cyclone separator for it's first stage. This unit is not a dual stage dust collection system, but a single stage dust collector that has the new "Vortex Cone" in it that separates the lower dust collection bag from the upper filter media. The "Vortex Cone" simply helps to keep the larger dust particles down in the lower bag instead of allowing them to climb up to the filter media to clog it up quicker. |

With the bracket removed, when the machine is off, the filter bag deflates and drapes over the edge so that it is easily stored. |

| Answer: | "Corded" is an electrical equipment term that denotes the equipment has a cord as apposed to being hard wired to an electrical junction box and no wiring is supplied with the equipment. The cord will have a plug to allow the equipment to be disconnected from the electrical source. A hard wired equipment system has it's electrical wiring run through armor cable or conduit to protect the wiring in an industrial environment. The conduit/armor cable is attached to a junction box or directly to a disconnect to allow power to the equipment to be turned off for maintenance. The disconnect will also have a way to Lock-out the switch to assure that the power is not accidentally turned back on while maintenance is being performed. Often used with industrial equipment, these disconnects are required by OSHA as a means to prevent injury and may have internal fuses sized for the equipment load requirement. An example or a hard wired piece of equipment in a residential setting would be the compressor unit for your HVAC. The disconnect here may have fuses and a pull out disconnect that can be removed while the air conditioning technician is working on the equipment. There is no plug or cord and this equipment is referred to as "Hard Wired" and not "Corded". Probably much more information that you may want but for us that deal with electrical equipment, the distinction tells me the option of how I could be setting up the equipment. However, it is only an option. In an industrial setting, I may chose to hard wire the equipment which makes it fixed to a location but protects the wiring from damage. |

| Answer: | Haven't measured it myself, but pretty quiet for such a large machine. According to User guide, it's 76dB @ 3 meters. Mine is closer than that in most use cases, and definitely seems louder than the spec. |

| Answer: | Yes I have 4 of these And dust is escaping from the accordion attachment to the lid. I have not had these a year and I have to now order the new accordion replacements and all four and having trouble finding the plastic bags that attached to the overflow filter. |

| Answer: | I have the 2 hp system with short 12 ft of 6in with 45 drops off to 4" metal duct and 4" hose. i run this on 2 cnc machines and have no issue with it having plenty of velocity. with 2 * 4" open, i'm measuring over 100 ft/s no issue moving lots of material. little noisy at that air flow. if you are running more stuff or longer runs, I might go to the 3hp, but the 2hp is very good. |
