| Answer: | This vacuum is great on hard surfaces for pet hair. If the pet hair is typically hard to vacuum up because it is on cloth or carpet, not so great. It works very good to pick up loose crumbs on carpet, though. I have two cats that shed and I wholeheartedly recommend, instead, the Eureka EasyClean 71B corded handheld vacuum for pet hair on furniture. It is the only vacuum that will pick up cat hair on my velour couches because of the strong suction and rotating brushes. It is extremely important to clean the filter to keep the suction strong on both of these handheld vacuums. The filter on this Black and Decker CHV1410L is underneath the green filter cover that twists off. The easiest and most effective way to clean the filters for me is to use a shop vac on them. Of course, any vacuum with a hose attachment would work. |

As a last resort, assuming I was doing something stupid or missing something simple, I came here to the Q&A section. First, I was reassured that I wasn't the only one with the problem. Then I resolved to try again. Finally, the blade slipped in. I don't know how or why, but at least I know it can be done. It just takes 30+ minutes of struggling. |

| Answer: | There are neither blades nor brushes on the bottom. There is a roller at the front edge of the unit so it is almost touching the ground. It operates just like a vacuum cleaner with the brushes turned off. It also operates as a blower so leaves can be blown to an area where they may be vacuumed. |

| Answer: | It is clumsy moving forward on my lawn. Worked better being pulled over the leaves on the lawn. I found this vacuum best for clean up after edging the lawn at the sidewalk. Do not expect this tool to be the answer to your dreams. If you have a heavy leaf fall on the lawn you will be better using a rake. |

| Answer: | Yes you can but you should not for long periods of time.Its a simple thing every battery has a limited amount of charges that can be done.While Lithium Ion does discharge slowly they do discharge and will then waste a charge.Also the charger likely has an overcharge protector but that uses power too if not then it is always charging hence wasting more power.Your charger should take an hour with those tiny batteries add an hour charge time each mah on battery pack. |
