Answer:	i think the varied answers come from questions getting sent to people who have purchased different sizes. I noticed some of the reviews are also for other models. This item, the WEN 4208 has an 8-inch swing. So, you can drill the center of an 8- inch diameter object, or about 4- inches from drill center to body. The WEN 4210 & the WEN 4212 have 10- inch swings. Anyone trying to drill the center of a 9- inch wheel would need one of these models. This 4208 is a Great drill for the money. i like that the head can be swung over the edge of a work bench, which allows for drilling into long stock. Like into the bottom center of a 36" post. The beveling work table is another great feature & one i did not have on the press this will replace. If you have the space, consider the WEN 4214 with 12-Inch swing. it is still small enough to be bench top, but you can drill the center of 12- inch/ bowls & table tops.

Answer:	I have not had any problems since I purchased this drill press (about 12 months). Read all the reviews I could on this drill press as well as many others and decided to go with the Powermatic. Wanted the Delta but since you can not get parts, their customer service sucks and too many customer service horror stories I went with Powermatic.

Answer:	ALL normally non-reversing drill presses with 3/4hp, 1hp and 1-1/2hp (like this Drill Press), are capacitor start, "induction motors", and CAN INDEED BE REVERSED by installing a DPDT switch that will reverse two windings of the induction motor. These two windings are labeled T5 and T6, and are located under the cover plate at the end, or under the capacitor cover on the side. On some larger motors (1hp and 1-1/2hp), T8 is sometimes used in place of T6. Drill Presses with smaller motors, like 1/4hp, 1/3hp, and 1/2hp, are usually not capacitor start, but can be reversed by switching the same two leads, T5 and T6 (T8 is NOT used on the smaller motors). Once installed and tested for function, simply mount the DPDT switch anywhere it is within convenient reach, which can be on the drill press head (with wire lead extensions), or on the motor casing itself. Answer:	Jdp-20mf has 1 1/2Hp motor with 110 and 220 volt depending on setup. Also has 3/4" drill Chuck instead of j2550 5/8". I can still put drill bits smaller than 1/8"in Chuck. You can call jet and ask questions. Also,I did change jet drill depth spindle stop with quick settle nut which I like.

Precision Aluminum Fence System

When we were designing this fence, we had a number of customers call in about other manufacturers drill press fences. One of the most pointed out flaws that there was no way to square the fence to the drill bit. The only way to do this with other fences was to shim the front or back until you got kind of sort of close. Now, with the Fulton Precision Aluminum Fence, you can actually tilt the fence back or front using set screws at both ends of the fence! This makes squaring up your fence way easier than ever before! The fence includes a center finding measuring tape to make locating center on your stock easy. The aluminum fence stop is the perfect way to drill holes at the same spot on multiple pieces of stock. When not in use the flip stop can be flipped up and out of the way or it can be completely removed by sliding it off the fence.

That's a THICK table top!

Why such a thick table top you ask? Well in this case, we believe that thicker is definitely better than thinner table tops. Our thicker table helps absorb the natural vibrations caused by drill presses and helps make the drilling process feel much smoother. Thinner tables tend to feel kind of well, thin in comparison after using the Fulton Table Top. Its a full 1-3/8" thick of laminated MDF that is sealed on the top and bottom to help prevent moisture and bowing of the table.

Answer:	The drill bit used would make a big difference! I would not ,"Push it past 1/8 " of cold rolled steel, due to, SAFETY considerations. Hoped this helped......

Answer:	The bottom base that sits on the counter is 7 x 12.The drill platform is 7 x 6 1/2.I added a sheet of red oak and made a new drill platform as I felt that the 7 x 6 1/2 was too small. My new addition makes it 12 x 12 which work much better. Tom

On the Grizzly site it is a jam nut on the depth stop rodon the left side, on the Amazon it is set on a collar lock knob on the spindle on the right side.My drill press has both depth stops, but the spindle does not have the depth label, and is notmentioned in the manual that came with the drill. When using the oscillating sander feature itcould be damaged if either stop is set.
