Is this thing set up right out of the box

Answer:

As with all machinery, it would be a very good idea to go through the setup sequence from the manual prior to operating. The Grizzly manual that comes with the machine is well written and following the process will acquaint you with the machine. I imagine most of these come from the factory pretty well aligned out of the box, but there are occasional lapses. I got one of these a few weeks ago that has an alignment problem with the blade guides that seems to have Griz CS stumped. On top of that, the machine does not come with a power cord. It requires 240V and the end-user must buy and install the power cord to match a given receptacle. Grizzly recommends an L6-30 twist-lock receptacle and cord.

Answer:	It can be operated on 110V, but it comes wired for 220V. You would have to convert it to run on 110V.

Answer:	Common carrier - it's heavy and bulky. Depends on what carrier rules are - my experience is that they'll get it up close to the house - but not in the shop.
Question:	Does this bandsaw come with diamond blades for cutting glass
Answer:	No. It's a wood cutting bandsaw. If you need a specialty blade consult a blade manufacturer but I'd also suggest calling Grizzly to see if they recommend cutting glass with this saw as the glass powder may not be something the saw was designed to handle.

Answer:	It does not come with wheels. You have to either add 4 wheels or purchase a mobile base. The trick about adding 4 wheels is that it is difficult to find wheels that can support the weight, but that don't raise the height too much.

Answer:	I hope not… In the long run it is better to adjust the saw so that it cuts true to the fence and miter slot. Start by setting the tracking so that the blade runs on the center of the upper wheel (and is thus centered on the crown of the wheel). Then set the fence so that it is parallel to the miter slot. Finally adjust the table (by loosening the trunion mounts) so that it is parallel to the blade – make a test cut along the fence, the piece should run true to the fence and the blade should be centered in the cut. Once you get the saw tuned it will stay that way as long as you are using a sharp blade and adjust it to track on the center of the upper wheel.

Answer:	The Grizzly Resaw Fence is designed to fit a wide variety of 14 inch bandsaws. The Grizzly website indicates it fits bandsaws with a 14 inch deep table (from front to back). While I do not know exactly which Ridgid 14 inch bandsaw you have it looks like you have the proper table size for the Grizzly resaw fence. The only thing to consider is the hole location on your bandsaw table vs the hole location of the Grizzly fence when mounting the resaw fence. I have an older Delta bandsaw and the holes lined up with no problem. Otherwise, you will have to drill a matching hole in one or the other to line things up. You can always call Grizzly Industrial if you have any further concerns or questions. Their website gives a phone number of 1-800-523-4777. Lastly, I am very happy with the Grizzly H7587 Resaw Fence and enjoy using it.

Answer:	Yes, the 0513anv is the same size as other 0513s. And an awesome saw it is. Be sure to put the tires in boiling water as instructed. It makes mounting much easier.

Answer:	I think its about 20-25mm. granted that the blade should ride on the crown (see tuning your bandsaw on utube), thats plenty of width for 1in blades on the big size down to 3mm blades I run on mine.
