Question:	Is this machine the same as the 735 w/o the extra blades and infeed and outfeed tables
Answer:	Yes it is the same as the standard 735. As to the ware on the blades - I've planed over 300bf in the 6 years that I've had this unit. I missed a label staple on the end of a board and now have a 1/32nd hairline strip that shows and I easily clean up with a scraper. I also purchased an extra set of HSS (high speed steel) knives and put the money out ($158 for the set) for carbide edged which I only use on the last phase of the construction. I've got an older 13" planer that I use strictly for rough plane jobs and paint and varnish removal when I recycle older woodwork.
Question:	How much thickness does this take, when used just for finishing? i have ok smooth oak in 13/16", would like it ++smooth but can't give more than
Answer:	You can take as little or as much off as you want. It is measurable down to about 1/64" but if there is any cupping or warping within the board that may vary a bit. I would recommend a random orbital sander going up to 320 grit to get a ++smooth surface
Question:	How easy is it to change blades on this planer? Thanks
Answer:	Easy, about 10-15 minutes: 1) Remove four 5/32nds" headed screws to remove the top yellow cowling. 2) Remove 3 red thumbscrews to remove the black dust shroud - clean out any blocked wood chips. 3) Remove eight 5/32nds" headed screws on each of the three blades. 4) Flip the blades, or sharpen if they've already been flipped. 5) Reassemble in the reverse order. If using a power drill with a 5/32nd inch allen wrench head (e.g., https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VH7ZQGC or something similar), set the drill on medium torque and it will take about 10 minutes. (If you manually unscrew the screws using the T handled allen wrench it will take twice as long.) If careful (having heard of the others stories), it doesn't seem hard to to remove/replace the screws with enough torque to seat them properly, but not so hard that they get struck. I'm planing very hard madrone wood, and the blades have lasted about 150-200 lineal feet of wood that is about a foot wide before needing replacing. Use the #1 (slow) feed speed for hard woods - I didn't know about this until reading the manual...
Question:	Does this planer have a 2.5" or 4" dust ejector port? Thanks

Question:	why 2 buckets
Answer:	Yes, this will drop almost all the dust in the bucket. A small amount may go into the vac/filter. I have used this for sheetrock/joint compound sanding dust and it is very effective. When cutting plaster and sheetrock in a remodel my wife hold the vac hose near the blade and reduces the generated dust dramatically. I hope that answers your question.
Question:	Would this be useful for dust control from an orbital sander on wood trim and doors? I'm concerned that the sanding dust may be too fine
Answer:	The manufacturer says it works with almost any material, and I'm inclined to believe them after using the kit and watching other videos online. Drywall shouldn't be a problem, neither should the nails. Not too sure about the insulation, as that's pretty light and fibrous. But I've had it work well with pet hair up to a point. When the bucket starts to get 97.5%+ full the reeeally light stuff starts to make it past into the vac.
Question:	I need to vacuum after demolition. Have to pick up blown insulation, drywall, plaster nails etc. Will this bucket hold these items or just dust
Answer:	The Lowe’s bucket I connected my dust deputy to didn’t last very long. It’s not thick enough. Instead I went to Firehouse Subs and bought one of their empty 5-gallon pickle buckets for $3. It is much thicker and working great. And the $3 goes to a good cause.
