Answer:	I dont know. I use it and every now and then I adjust it. I've seen progress. I don't recommend trying to straighten your toe all at once. Works better gradually. I've had No problems with irritation doing it gradually. I can't walk in it. I use it at night.

It's possible perhaps to finagle it to do something it's not designed to do, but I wonder how stable it would be on the guitar. Perhaps Shubb has other capos you could investigate. I use this one and the Esus one from Shubb for unique tunings, but not in a way they're not designed for.

I have to add that I liked using this on my glasses. The handle has a sturdy feel to it and it's the perfect size for my hand.
