This Lifetime Warranty stuff is BS, no matter how many time I broke one of my Craftsman tools, they would always replace it no questions asked. I'm told the Lifetime Warranty only applies to the first time you break the tool. I just broke my 19MM 1/2' drive socket from this set today and don't want a replacement from Craftsman if it's going to be some cheap Communist Chinese made piece of crap! I'm moving on to other brands that still make their stuff here in America! |

The current warranty is NOT the traditional “ lifetime” from back in the day that made Craftsman so popular and well known. Old.....Lifetime” refund/exchange NQA: NEW.........same wording but reportedly reduced to 25 years from date of purchase and receipt required for return/exchange. I only had to exercise the warranty process ONCE.....this was mid 90’s when lifetime meant exactly that.........socket was seized to the ratchet. I to this day can’t figure out how and forgot whether Craftsmen was the socket or ratchet. It didn’t matter because the store replaced both items even though one of the items was a NON Craftsman. Read closely and probably like a lot of Items....”Lifetime” doesn’t mean what it used to especially with movable/mechanical items like tools. |
