What is “SUIZAN“?

That’s why our products are highly appreciated by many woodworkers.
One of the Japanese Tools
There are a couple of differences between Western tools and Japanese tools.
In many cases, Japanese tools are lighter and simpler than Western ones because Japanese tools are minimally designed and there is no unnecessary waste.
Nowadays, the Japanese tools has become a popular tool in woodcrafting around the world due to its high quality.
Do you know about a “Pull Saw“?
This product is a pull saw.
Japanese saws cut materials via pulling and thus are called “pull saws.”
It requires less power, realizes exceedingly smooth and accurate cut, and results that the cutting-section is clean.
And particularly this saw's blade is sharper and thinner (0.02 inch), and has a greater number of teeth per inch (9 & 15 TPI) than comparable saws of its size.
This is a Ryoba Saw
A remarkable point of this Ryoba (Double Edge) Saw is that there are two blades in one saw - Cross-Cut and Rip-Cut.
Therefore you don’t have to change your tools: you only have to use it!
It is for time-saving and space-saving in your tool box.
If you have some difficulty using Western saws, once get to use a Japanese saw.
You will never go back to a conventional saw!
- JAPANESE STYLE PULL SAW: This product is a “Pull Saw.” What most people are used to are European saws, which cut materials via pushing, thus are called “push saws.” On the other hand, Japanese saws cut materials via pulling and thus are called “pull saws,” which is what this product is. In comparison to “push saws,” “pull saws” are lighter in weight, requires less power, and the resulting edge is cleaner.
- JAPANESE STEEL: All SUIZAN Japanese saws are consisted of top quality japanese steel. It uses high quality Japanese steel, which makes cuts to be sharp.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the blade come with a cover to protect the teeth when not using it |
Answer: | I have cut 4X4 pine post to shape legs..it works perfectly fine. Be slow and it does its own work with super finish |
Question: | id like to buy all the suizan product line are the blades replaceable ? if so where can i order the Blades |
Answer: | Japanese saws are normally much too thin to track in a western mitre box .Also western saws you can alter the cut but japanese saws you can not .so if you go off course with a japanese saw it is better to start a different cut line. |
Question: | Hope long do blades last |
Answer: | It says 22 crosscut and 9 rip in the description. |
Question: | What other saws should i buy for a started set in addition to this saw |
Answer: | I don't believe there are any manufacturer's instructions in English. I own 3 Gyokucho Japanese Saws (including this one), and I found the best info regarding the proper use of this saw on that popular video site. Just do a search for "Using Japanese Pull Saws", and you will find a plethora of instructional videos. These saws do require a certain technique that is vastly different from their western counterparts, but once you see it done, you'll be able to start practicing it. And once you get the hang of it (mostly just a light touch and the proper cutting angle), you will really enjoy using this saw. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this blade cut through stucco and the chicken wire backing |
Answer: | I have never tried to cut stucco with chicken wire backing. I think my primary concern would be the teeth of the saw blade possibly catching on the wire and causing the saw to jerk with the risk of you dropping it. Knowing that and being prepared for such a situation it would not cost much to try the blade. |

Question: | sorry camt find sizes , can u help me plz? they are not shown .. i want the sizes of the individual cutters plz |
Answer: | The saw does not come with a pilot drill. The pilot drill is part of the arbor required to be purchased separately. |

Question: | Will this dewalt dwa1880 5-inch hole saw cut through plywood |
Answer: | The set does include the Case along with 1) 3/4-in. Hole Saw, (1) 7/8-in. Hole Saw, (1) 1 1/8-in. Hole Saw, (1) 1 1/2-in. Hole Saw, (1) 1 3/4-in. Hole Saw, (1) 2-in. Hole Saw, (1) 2 1/4-in. Hole Saw, (1) 2 1/2-in. Hole Saw, (2) Pilot Bit, (1) Arbor 9/16 - 1 3/16-in. sizes |
Question: | What drills are you guys using? Ive been using my 18 volt ryobi on 1/2 inch birch plywood and my drill overheats after a couple holes |
Answer: | with most hole saw sets you spin the hole saw onto the arborand use it when its time to remove it you have to sometimes pry it off from the arbor. This can be done two ways. Sketchy Way Keep the arbor on the drill and hold the drill between your legs and use a large flat head screwdriver and slide it into the side holes and then you can either wack the screwdriver with a hammer or another tool be sure you are wacking it the right direction. you could also help it with some lubricant(wd40) Proper Way Use a pair of adjustable pliers, locking pliers or a vise and hold the arbor at the base. Then use a flat head screwdriver or another pair of adjustable pliers to spin the hole saw off the arbor. |
Question: | Does this include a pilot drill bit |
Answer: | If you count only what comes in the kit, no you cannot use it without the drill bit, the rotating saw is locked with a nut to the drill bit. However, if you were creative, you could make or get something so that it went through the middle, but still let you lock it to the rotating saw. I suppose you could even take the bit and cut it down to nothing, just leaving the locking area. |
Question: | What sizes |
Answer: | what do you mean ?don't understand the queston |
Question: | Does this come with a case description says yes answered question says no & does the larger arbor have the pins to keep the saw from becoming to tight |
Answer: | The LENOX T3 has a 0.070 kerf width of cut. |
Question: | Can anyone tell me where to find instructions??? I've used one blade and can't figure out how to remove the auger |
Answer: | This set is not for 6 inch holes. Set is awesome for the price |
Question: | can this be used without the drill bit |
Answer: | Use a diamond coated hole saw for traditional stucco, which is much like stone. I squirt water from a spray bottle onto the cutting surface for lubrication and to reduce airborne dust. Use a hammer drill if possible because stucco is tough. |

Question: | Is it 110V only |
Answer: | I don't know without digging it out of the garage, but I don't remember mine having a laser on it. Maybe you have another model than mine |
Question: | Does the saw take U-shank or T-shank blades |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Dose this tool have a case , if so how much will it cost & and where can I buy it |
Answer: | That might depend on the thickness and type of plastic. Very thick, dense plastics with a low melting point might melt a bit. Most wouldn't melt. Glass, is not really suited to this kind of cutting tool, besides it is usually scored and cracked apart. If you need curves in glass, score the curve once and make radial scores away from the curve and break it off in smaller sections. |
Question: | Im cutting inch thick trim thats in place can i set the blade cutting depth |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is each side the same? i.e., both same kind of saw teeth, at 18 tpi |
Answer: | As far as I can tell, both sides are the same. This is a flush cut saw, so there's no set on the teeth and therefore is best used just as a flush cut saw with the occasional exception. Really great tool that protects the blade when folded so it can stay sharp when thrown in a toolbox. I'm a big fan |
Question: | will it cut through bone, like the rib cage of a deer or the pelvic bone, looks perfect to put in a back pack |
Answer: | Not sure, I use it for custom cabinetry. I suppose it's inexpensive enough to give it a try. The teeth are designed for a flush cut and the blade is pretty flexible so I would think it might bind up. |

Question: | Are these blades really 12 inches? SKIL 94100-05 are listed as 12 inch on Amazon and Home Depot, but some people complained they are 9 inches |
Answer: | Yes, but. The actual blade is 12 inches from end to end, however that includes the portion of the blade that is held in the blade clamp. Subtracting the approximate 1 inch that gets locked in blade clamp and a little additional loss depending on position of the tool shoe and considering the minimum stroke position, the usable exposed portion of the blade yields a maximum cutting depth of 9 to 10 inches for a 12 inch blade. The use of end to end measurement seems to be an industry standard and is consistent for blades of all sizes. So yes this is a 12 inch blade. |
