Medium Rockler Bandy Clamp, Pair

Rockler

Based on 244 reviews Check latest price

Product description

You'll find it easier than ever to clamp edge moldings of almost any contour with our clever new Bandy Clamp edge clamps. The Bandy Clamp combines the easy one-handed operation of a spring clamp with the even pressure and no-mar qualities of a super-tough rubber band. Just open the clamp and stretch the band over your edging material—the deeper you set it, the tighter the pressure. Once the Bandy Clamp is in place, its jumbo ultra-grippy clamp pads simply will not slip, allowing all the clamping force to be transferred into the material. Since every contact point is a no-mar surface. the clamp is ideal for delicate moldings, even from soft materials like white pine. What's more, the clamp works great for keeping power cables, extension cords and pneumatic lines out of your way as you work. You'll find countless uses for it around the house as well as the shop!

  • Proprietary rubber band is made from a tough, tear-resistant material, with three extra-strength splines molded into it
  • Rubber band conforms to any shape and will not mar delicate materials
  • Spring clamp is made of high-strength nylon with fiberglass fill for added durability
  • Pivoting jaws accommodate angled pieces and allow full pad contact regardless of stock thickness
  • Handles are over-molded with an easy-to-grip rubber for greater comfort and control

User questions & answers

Question: Has anyone used these for face frame for cabinets? does it hold
Answer: Up to 1.5"
Question: what thickness material will this work on
Answer: This is a medium clamp. It's fits perfectly on a 2x4 so 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 inches. I use this clamp to glue sheet materials together.
Question: What thickness of wood will this accommodate
Answer: I don't know about any guides for these. I bought 2 sizes large and medium. I ended up buying more of the large size. I think it is best to have the two sizes. A lot depends on what you are trying to clamp with them, I think they are great. I can use them as a regular clamp without using the rubber band as well. They have been very useful.
Question: Are there guidelines as to what size you want for different jobs
Answer: They come in a plastic tube. About 3.25" diameter and about 4.5" tall. It has a removable clear lid that works well for storage.

Router Bit Set-Up Jigs for 22627 45 deg; Lock Miter Bits

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work with the Meihejia 1/4" shank 45° lock master bit
Answer: In my experience I don’t know if it’s stronger, but it’s a lot better finished corner.
Question: Can the lock miter bit be used to make a stronger side-by-side connection (180 degree lock
Answer: I bought the 1/2 Inch Shank Lock Miter Router Bit 45 Degree, 1/2 Inch to 1 Inch Stock, 2-3/4 Inch Diameter, CNC Wood Router Bits by NITOMAK(Carbide) thinking that the sizes were universal and that this block would help me easily setup the router bit, but the bit I bought, the cutting teeth are larger than the slots in this setup block and will not work at all. I'm unsure if I can setup the lock miter bit using test wood and then run this setup block through, to give it the cut for my specific lock miter bit, but I'm going to try.
Question: Can this set-up jig be "some-how" used with other brands of lock-mitre bits (e.g.. Yanico
Answer: Go to Wood Workers Guild of America website.
Question: Any videos on how to use it
Answer: I'm a cabinet maker and these do not have enough hold power to hold a face frame in place nor enough stretch to reach around even a 1 1/4" stile or rail ! Sorry but regular bar clamps are still going to be your best option for clamping face frames unless your using screws with plugs !

  • Precision machined solid-brass body and knurled lock nut.
  • Brass head with 8" steel rod
  • Shaft is graduated 1 mm / 1/32 inch increments for easy reference
  • Can be used as a depth gauge
  • Great for quick measurement transfers

User questions & answers

Question: where can I find replacement wheel cutters
Answer: yes it is recessed, also, the cutting blade sits flush as well when the measuring edge is all the way at the end, so it protects it nicely for storage..
Question: Can anyone confirm if the screw that holds the cutting wheel to the measuring rod is recessed or does it protrude out (like some cheaper models
Answer: Agreed with kwhp1507... if the scribing wheel rotated, then it would not actually cut the wood fibres which is what is supposed to happen. Note that the Veritas marking gauge also does not rotate.
Question: Does the wheel that actually scribes the wood rotate freely? Or is it fixed
Answer: mine is painted on, so the marking eventually will ware out and scratch off
Question: Are the gauge markings painted on or engraved
Answer: I assume you meant 'lock MITER bit'... I have not used that brand of lock miter bit, but have used 1/4” shank 45 degree lock miter bits from two other manufacturers and the profiles were identical and matched the set-up jig exactly.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you run just 1 blade
Answer: My experience with the Freud SBOX8 shows it accurately cuts box joint slots when used on an accurate saw. I use the SBOX8 blade set in conjunction with the INCRA IBOX jig. The SBOX8 blade set has performed excellently.
Question: Can I use this with a DW
Answer: The only suggestion I can offer is that each blade should read "This side out for 1/4" cuts". If this is the case then it may be possible the set is defective.
Question: My problem is I am getting a ridge on the base of the slot left side this is left blade on 1/4 cut
Answer: I have these blades and a Dewalt DW745 — they work fantastically well. The arbor is long enough, the nut is fully threaded. I have not experienced any issue with lack of power in the saw while using these blades, but i'm not rushing the cuts.
Question: Can I use it in with a DW745 table saw
Answer: You can find the replacement cutters here:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B019VCN310

Dust Right Universal Small Port Hose Kit

Based on 422 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Handheld power tools generate a lot of dust right where you least want it: directly under your nose. Unfortunately, the confusing array of non-standardized dust ports on handheld tools makes it hard to connect a dust hoseuntil now. This new kit from Rockler includes two sizes of flexible rubber dust ports1'', 1-1/2'' ID that flex to fit on almost any tool, plus a 2-1/4'' port that connects to most shop vacuums, dust separators or our optional Cord and Hose Holder (#47321). The two tool-end ports are thoughtfully designed with a slight elbow that helps lift the dust hose off of your work.

  • Winner of WOOD Magazine's Innov8 Award for 2015
  • Ports flex to fit almost any handheld power tool with dust collection compatibility
  • Hose expands 5x the original length—from 3' to 15'— for a large working radius
  • Durable, flexible rubber hose is easy to manuever and manipulate, is kink- and crush-resistant, and has no memory
  • Ports swivel for free range of motion

User questions & answers

Question: Will this fit the dewalt dwe6423k
Answer: Yes. The larger blue adapter that is included with this kit is flexible and can be stretched over the standard dewalt dust collection fitting no problem.
Question: Will this work with the Ridgid shop vac with 2 1/2 in hose? Want something to connect her to the ryobi miter saw
Answer: It will but you need an additional adapter kit, Ridgid VT1755 3 Piece Hose Adaptor Kit for Hose Extension and Accessory Connection. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00531DDQY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Question: Is there a way to get this to work with the oneida dust deputy? the little one with the tapered 2 inch ports
Answer: It does not perfectly fit the small dust deputy. I had to Jerry rig mine using a dissected connector that came with my shop vac to connect it to the dust deputy.
Question: well it fit ridit vac
Answer: It will fit any vac with a 2 1/4" hose port but I strongly suggest that you not buy this kit. The "expanding hose" is terrible and you would hate it! The tool connectors are great however and can be purchased from the Rockler web site separately for about $20.00. Unfortunately, the tool connectors are made to fit a 1 1/2" hose which is less common than the 1 1/4" hose that comes with many shop vacs. The best combination in my opinion is to buy the connectors without the expanding hose and purchase a cheap 1 1/2" hose for it with a 2 1/4" fitting for your vac.

Hold Down Clamp, 5-1/2 inL x 1-1/8 inW

Rockler

Based on 127 reviews Check latest price

Product description

With wider bodies and non-marring rubber caps, these hold-downs have more power and better grip to keep workpieces in place. Runs in T-tracks on drill press tables, router tables, and more.Includes a solid aluminum body, two rubber caps, and a 5/16 T-bolt with a washer and 5-star knob. Clamps material up to 2-1/2 thick.

User questions & answers

Question: Would these work in a Pegasus work table
Answer: Standard 5/16”
Question: what size track is needed for this hold down clamp
Answer: Size & price. They both clamp 2-1/2" material. The mini looks like it would be less in the way since it's shorter and the knob is smaller. I have the standard ones and they work very well. I don't have the mini, but I'm sure it would stay more out of the way on my CNC Shark... but it's not worth twice the price when what I have works well enough.
Question: what is the main differences of this from the mini deluxe model
Answer: The t that fits in the slot is 5/16”
Question: How wide is the t itself? my workbench is a keter with 7/8" wide slots. can anyone verify please
Answer: Rockler Sanding Bow fits strips from Woodturner's multi-roll sanding pack (22134, sold separately) and each roll is 1" wide.
Question: What width belt does this tool use
Answer: No advantage to running 1 blade. You still get a 1/4 inch dado with 1 blade. You would be cutting with half as many teeth.

Rockler Center/Offset Marking Tool

Based on 194 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Straddles your board to mark a perfectly centered line, or you can use the notches to mark offset lines from 1/16'' to 1/2'' from the edge in 1/16'' increments.

Our Center/Offset Marking Tool straddles your board to mark a perfectly centered line along the face or edge of boards up to 1-1/2'' wide or thick. Just insert your pencil into the center hole, rotate the tool so the guide posts contact the material, then scribe. Alternatively, you can use a pencil in the notches to mark lines from 1/16'' to 1/2'' from the edge in precise 1/16'' increments. It's great for marking out mortises and rabbets, or for making reference lines for drilling holes. The tool accepts standard wooden pencils and has an onboard pencil storage slot. An embedded magnet lets you store it on any ferrous metal surface, such as a power tool, tool chest or magnetic storage strip.

  • Fits standard wooden pencils
  • Center hole holds pencil in perfectly centered position as you scribe your line
  • Notches for offset marking let you scribe off-center lines, or lines near the edge of large panels
  • Offset notches account for the tip width of a sharpened pencil for an accurately scribed line
  • Integral magnet allows easy storage on ferrous metal surfaces

User questions & answers

Question: how wide can it find the center of a board
Answer: Yes
Question: Does this work on 2x4's
Answer: I have two of the most awesome Worx Pegasus work tables and several of the Rockler Deluxe Hold Down Clamps. The two are not compatible as the Pegasus channel is significantly wider (1” at its narrowest) than the head of the hold Down Clamp bolt. You would have to find a bolt with a shaft this enough to go through the clamp as well as a head wide enough (no wider than 1.25” wide, but no smaller than 1” wide) to stay in the channel. HTH

User questions & answers

Question: What are the dimensions as I have limited room
Answer: I am running it on a 2 1/4 HP DeWalt router rated at 12 amps, no problems. I don't see any rating on the switch itself, HP or amps although the website says 15 amps which should square with your router's maximum draw. I know there are some really funny HP ratings on portable power tools. A table saw with a normal 2.5 HP motor would probably require 15 amps at 220 volts. I run my Unisaw on a dedicated 20 amp 220v circuit. Not much specific help on your question, but I think I would wing it!
Question: Most switches declare for use with 1/2 horse power tools. what is the hp rating for this switch ? i am operating a freud ft2200 vce 3.25hp 15 amps
Answer: It can be used on any tool with a 3 prong plug.
Question: Could this be used on a band saw
Answer: Whether or not, when you lose power to this switch, I would say ALWAYS hit the STOP button before restarting anything controlled by the switch. SAFETY first!!!!!.
Question: if the power goes off does the switch reset or do you have to press the start button again
Answer: The rockler website says 2.5”. I don’t own it but was looking for this info. Another question here indicates it works on a 2x4 so I guess they mean the narrow side...
