User questions & answers
Question: | Will this cut through the plastic of an Igloo cooler |
Answer: | I would think it would , you may need to put a piece of wood on the back side of cooler to keep the center drill bit in one place , (so it will not wonder) , hope this helps you. |
Question: | Will the arbor from my existing 6” hole saw fit this |
Answer: | I don't know what size arbor you have , but this fits my standard hole arbor just fine , they should be standard sizes , unless you buy a cheap small circle hole bit set-RJ. |
Question: | Can it cut through stucco |
Answer: | No. I bought this expecting to get a spyder tarantula hole saw bit. After 20 minutes of trying to cut through the stucco and concrete of the wall, all I ended up with was a very hot, dull hole saw bit. |
Question: | What does this attach to? Not understanding how it works, sorry. Thanks for feedback |
Answer: | It attaches to a Dewalt DW1803 Heavy Duty 7/16-Inch Shank Quick Change Mandrel (Fits Hole Saws 1-1/4-Inch – 6 –Inch) you need to use a ½-Inch drill with this size Mandrel. I use it to cut 6-Inch Holes through ½-Inch 5/8-Inch and 6-Inch Plywood. I find it best to run my drill at a very slow speed, first in reverse just to score the wood them run it forward at a very slow speed applying light downward pressure on the drill. This technique works great for cutting 6-inch holes in the cornhole boards that we build. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this cut through wood cabinet |
Answer: | No it is not a knock off brand. It is the real deal at a great price. |
Question: | Will this cut thru hardyboard/concrete board |
Answer: | 3/4 in, 7/8 in, 1 in, 1-1/8 in, 1-1/4 in, 1-3/8 in, 1-1/2 in, 1-3/4 in, 2 in, 2-1/8 in, 2-1/4 in, 2-1/2 in, 2-5/8 in, 3 in, 3-1/4 in, 3-3/8 in, 3-5/8 in, 3-3/4 in, 4-1/8 in, 4-1/4 in, 4-1/2 in, 4-3/4-in |
Question: | It doesnt come with an arbor |
Answer: | No. Does not cut concrete. Cuts metal and steel. |
Question: | Will it cut Fiberglass like on a boat |
Answer: | Given the mixed answers, i feel the need to contribute. Seemingly, it is almost or barely capable of drilling through a 2x4 hot dog style (which is actually 3 1/2 inches). Even if it is unable, it is close.. so I would recommend loosening the hex screw and shifting the pilot bit up a quarter or half inch, then of course, tighten the set screw. This will penetrate the other side which you can then go to, and use that hole to center your drill to complete the cut. Very easy, very effective |
Question: | Is this suitable for cutting through fiberglass or will it cause splitting/cracking |
Answer: | I use our outdoor fan to blow air in it then when you roll the end up it gets tight. Or you can run in a circle to get the air in it and then when you roll the end up it gets tight. We love ours. We have had it for about 3 years now and it has been awesome to have with the kids. |
Question: | What is the depth of the cut it’s capable of drilling in one pass |
Answer: | Probably depends on the age of the kids. But they are simple to set up if you use a fan of some sort like a heater or air conditioner vent or something with a small flow. Kids could set them up and I don’t see any issues with kids using them. Burn I wouldn’t put an infant unsupervised in it for suffocation concerns |
Question: | Does it cut through stucco with wire mesh backing |
Answer: | Yes! These loungers are equipped with a pin that goes into the ground for sturdiness. |
Question: | will it cut through 3/8" aluminum sheet metal |
Answer: | Yes! All of our loungers come with a handy stake to hold your Chillbo Baggins Lounger down even in the windiest of conditions. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the depth of cut |
Answer: | I cut through our 3/4” pine board ceiling with no problem. I would think you could cut up to 1” thickness. |
Question: | Will this fit a lenox or mill. Shank |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can this hole saw be used with a Milwaukee 3/8 quick change arbor |
Answer: | Don't buy this lol it ate all it's teeth off after a few uses. The dewalt 60volt bore saw is awesome. And Milwaukee big dawg. Or hole hawg* whatever it's called. Unless you're strictly using for sheet metal and drywall it won't last. |
Question: | Will this cut 1/4 inch panelling |
Answer: | Yes.! |
Question: | Does this fit into a press drill without any other attachments |
Answer: | I use it with my hand held dewalt hammer drill, but I assume it would fit |
Question: | Does Starrett 4 1/4" hole saw bit, $69.82, include an arbor to fit drill. or is arbor to be a separate purchase |
Answer: | separate, but this thing is worth every penny. I cut a 100 holes through 3/4 plaster and performs as new still. Cut through CBS block as well |
Question: | Does it come with a pilot bit? How do you chuck it up |
Answer: | Hello JJB,I am short on time at the moment or I would look this up for you. But, you need the guide bit and chuck for this. They have a new quick release that enables you to take it on and off with your hand. I think it was the Dewalt that I bought. It is a little stiff but, if kept well lubricated, it works good. You need a strong grip. I use these hole saws for cutting holes in marble and granit for faucet holes. I also use larger sizes up to 4" for the toilet hole and they all work well. Good luck. |
Question: | What is the depth? i want to use this with a dust bowl to cut holes for recessed led |
Answer: | I believe it was 2 inches...I used it to install a drain thru my approx 4 "sidewalk & I had to basically hammer out the bottom 2 " |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this available in |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | does it need an additional parts or can this just be inserted to the chuck of the drill |
Answer: | You need a mandrel that snaps or screws into the hole saw. This is what your drill will chuck to. Mandrels can be switched between hole saws. |
Question: | I need to cut 38 holes 6 inches dia stucco on dense glass stucco board will this product do it ? 1/8 stucco to 1/4 stucco on green board sheet roc |
Answer: | I'm guessing that it will. The stucco will probably dull it sooner then drilling wood, but there is not much stucco that you will actually de drilling. My tip: Do not use a cordless drill. There is a lot of torque in starting. Use a heavy 1/2" electric drill with a chuck key. The key is "going slow and steady". This is the only way to do this many holes. I just drilled 20 holes into plywood for corn holes games and going fast creates a wobbly start. Have fun using it. Get the 1/4" drill and the drill sleeve with it. |
Question: | I need to remove 200 signs in a stadium that we’re installed in concrete with Drive Rivets. I’d like to drill the sign and leave the river alone |
Answer: | That should work. However, you would need some way of preventing the hole saw from trying to cut into the concrete. Perhaps you could make a collar by drilling a hole in a block of aluminum and attaching it with a set screw. Curious why you don't just drill out the rivits. It would be much faster and make less mess. |
