Answer:	I believe you can. Can't see why it should be an issue. I used my on without gas, and at first the .030 wire would bundle up just before going through the cable. After about 3 bundling up, it appears to work ok. Don't know how it happened.

Answer:	Yes. I drilled ceramic and marble tile. Just a suggestion you should look at a drill guide and glass cutting oil. The instructions say tilt the bit to start the hole but the bit will walk so the guide stabilizes the bit on the glass and makes a much cleaner cut. Adjust the sliding plate for the size of the hole saw - drill bit you want to use. Once side of the plate is for sizes up to 1-3/4 inches and flip the plate for larger sizes up to 3-1/4".
