Answer:	Because the vacuum chuck is primarily used to remove a tenon or waste block on the bottom of a turning with tail stock support, the diameter of the turning makes little difference. With a live tailstock chuck and 1/4" diameter point, or reversing adapter, nearly the entire tenon or waste block can be turned off and the bottom finished with tailstock support. The live tailstock chuck, points, and reversing adapter are sold separate from this vacuum chuck.

Answer:	You would have to check out Easy Wood Tools chuck jaws for a compatible one or make your own (which is not so great). I have the quick attach flat jaws and, though pricey, the best investment! Love ‘em!

Answer:	Don't know about the jet - 1510 spindle size but Easy Wood Tools has adapters to mate their chucks to most spindles. Be advised the EWT wood screw needs a adapter with a hollow center. EWT can provide it for you.

Answer:	The 30th anniversary G3 is a dedicated 1” 8tpi chuck, same as the spindle on my delta 46-460 lathe. It doesn’t not accept the normal Nova threaded inserts since it is a dedicated type rather than insert type. Should also work on the harbor freight lathes as well as any o ther with a 1” 8tpi spindle. It also have a grub screw for lathes with reverse

Answer:	I have a Jet 1221VS and it works just fine. Be sure to check the TPI of the lathe headstock. The TPI of your chuck should match. Also check the length of the headstock and the chuck are the same. Although these are not officially standard, they are frequently the same from one device to another. Long story short the... The Nova G3 works just fine on the Jet 1221VS.

Question:	Can this chuck be used on the Jet 10141 lathe if not why not
Answer:	Your Jet 10141 is a mini lathe no longer a production model. It does have indexing (good); indexing is a sought after feature and frequently used. It does have a 1X8 thread on the head stock; also good. that means it will accept your Nova G3 which is a high-end chuck and will last a life time. When you move to a full size lathe and you will if you hang in there; it will still be a great chuck, it may simply require an adapter for the new head-stock thread, 10 bucks. The G3 is a midi chuck with so much versatility that it should be in and probably is in every woodturners arsenal. You simply cannot go wrong here. It is appropriate for mini to midi to full size. Add to it as you are able; cole jaws, mini jaws, etc. build a steady rest for your mini, it may sound like overkill on a mini but you will want to do hollow forms with this and wine glasses, weed pots and certainly elements.The very best addition to this chuck would be without knowing your skill level or whether your chisels are the new Carbides or traditional or a mix of both would be: Doc Green's "Fixtures and Chucks for Woodturning" absolutely indispensable. Answer:	Well, I must have bought the odd ball because it does not fit my Lathe.. THe lathe has an acme thread and the chuck doesn't. I bought the adapter and it still doesn't fit. The thread on the Jet 1221 is listed as 1"-8 ........... Very frustrating!!!

Answer:	Hi,This chuck id designed to work on any lathe with a 1" x 8tpi spindle, which I believe those 2 are. It will handle stock up to 10" with the 2" jaws included so that will cover those lathes. One thing to note - this chuck can also be used on reversing lathes and has the set screw to lock it to the spindle. If your lathe is not reversing and doesn't not have a register on the spindle (the register is the back part of the spindle on some lathes that is not threaded) don't use the set screw - the set screw should lock to the register, and not the threaded part of your spindle as it will damage the threads and throw the chuck off center. The set screw is only needed if you are reverse turning, and the chuck itself will work just fine on both reversing and non- reversing lathes.That help?

Answer:	I’m not familiar with the mophorn lathe but the spindle size is the determining factor. This chuck will fit any lathe with a 1” spindle with 8 TPI threads.

Answer:	The chuck tightens like the Grizzly and Penn state chucks as well as some of the older nova chucks. The back ring turns like a big chuck key and is tightened with torsion bars (orange handled bars seen in picture) inserted into the holes positioned around the chuck body and back ring

Answer:	This jaw design is really for metalworking and provides very little grip for wood. For beads you might want to buy a small Nova chuck (they are really good) and purchase one of their smaller jaw sets and a drill in the tailstock... Or do search online for jam chuck or consider mandrels....

Answer:	No lathe has a left-hand-threaded spindle. If one did, the work would spin off the lathe every time you hit the 'on' button.

Answer:	There is no set-screw of any kind to maintain a safe secure hold of the chuck to the lathe while running in reverse. I do not on mine and would not without something like that available.
