User questions & answers

Question: Measurements
Answer: 6 1/4 L and 4 5/8 W 2 5/8 H. Back to 1 1\2 H front with a 3 AH black and decker battery 4 2\8 back front and 3 1\2 front measures the same with a 5 AH biswaye battery installed in it. Buy the way the way the 5 AH battery must actually be a 3 AH battery cause they both last 40 to 45 min. In my weed eater.
Question: where is the plug for this charger
Answer: The plug is attached to the charger itself.
Question: Will this charger work on a 1.5 AH 20 V battery
Answer: Yes, if you are talking about the 20V batteries for the various Black & Decker tools. I have batteries from the 1.5/1.8 ah up to the 4.0 ah and they all charge.
Question: how does this differ from the previous model which is $12 cheaper
Answer: The stock charger that comes with most B&D tools (model LCS1620B) is rated at 0.4A (400ma) versus this one rated at 2amps, so this should charge about five times faster.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work on a dead duralast gold battery
Answer: Right angle plug, but no issues connecting to any radio so far.
Question: Is it portable or it have to be plug in all the time
Answer: This is an 8 ohm speaker, not 4 ohm so if your application needs a 4 ohm speaker (most car sound systems are 4 ohm) and you use this one, it will not be as loud as it should be. I used this speaker for a Motorola 2 way radio in one of our fire trucks that had a bad internal speaker and so far it works AWESOME and is plenty loud and clear even at half volume.
Question: Can you use it on two deep cycle batteries hooked in parallel
Answer: I do not believe there is a warranty but I can tell you it is a great speaker. The speaker is used with my Yaesu FT 8800R and I would recomend it.
Question: I recently purchased this battery charger but I received a Stanley brand. Did anyone actually receive what is pictured (Black & Decker
Answer: no i t does not we can see were we are all over long island sound and Ct river in old saybrook ct.

User questions & answers

Question: How long are the cords
Answer: There are only two ways to Efficiently & properly charge the unit, plug it into a house 110 V outlet or Or I use a 4000 W inverter in my truck and I plug the inverter primary into the cigarette lighter and the secondary is 110 V which works great on that Max in addition to charging at the same time many charging tool batteries and led work lights. I leave it plugged in My trucks Invertor all the time while driving and all my tools including the max are always charged and hot ready to go.
Question: Just want to make sure I understand this correctly - you can plug this into the cigarette lighter and don't need to connect to the battery
Answer: I wouldn't count on this type of pack for anything with a motor (power tools, the blender, pumps, etc). I tried running a small fridge off a 400 watt inverter connected to a car battery and that wouldn't work. The fridge only needed ~120 watts running, but to start it's motor the "Surge draw" was ~1000 watts that would put the inverter in "overload" alarm every time. So despite the minimal time of running the blender, that "surge draw" is quite often too much for these small inverters. Also FYI, the batteries in these can give you ~200 watts of power for 1 hour (or 100 watts for 2 hours, etc). That's how long they'll last alone. I've seen in manuals that "You can extend the run time by connecting up another battery via the jumper cables", yet if you need multiple parts anyway I'd be tempted to look at a separate battery big enough for everything and a bigger inverter. One of the best suggestions I can make is get something like the "kill-a-watt" meter and see what power your blender & things need for how long. That meter costs $20, so before spending $100+ on this I think knowing what you really need (measuring the power demands) is worth it. That meter can show you both power draw while running (for inverter sizing) and KWH power use (for battery sizing).
Question: how fast does it charge
Answer: I don't have a CPAP or such, but have seen this question posted many times (look under the similar units like Schumacher XP2260 or Duracell 600 packs). This like those other packs has about an "18 amp-hour" battery hinting it can provide 1 amp (at 12V) for 18 hours, or 2 amps for 9 hours, or 3 amps for 6 hours, etc. Many others have said they can get at least 1 night out of the packs if you don't need to run things like a humidifier function or such that needs much more power. Since I don't have the same equipment you do to really know the power use (as well as what settings you need), one of the best ways to find out how long this would last is to get a meter like the "Kill-a-watt" and measure the power use yourself. That meter goes for under $20, so before spending $100+ on this I'd see that as worth it. Based on the info I gave above these packs can provide about 200 watts for 1 hour (or 0.2 KWH). With some of the labels like "400 watt inverter" or such you may think it lasts much longer (like at least 1 hour under that 400 watt load), but it doesn't, so don't expect too much out of it (and that's the same for all packs like this).
Question: What is the float voltage? When the charger indicates it is done charging what is the voltage of the battery
Answer: Yes, you can charge this with many "12V" solar panels that are out there. Just beware that if a solar panels is directly connected up, they can raise the battery voltage to levels over 15V which is considered "Overcharging". So it's best to have a voltage regulator or "Charge controller" between the panel and battery (which will stop charging once the battery is at 14.5V which is "full" for it).

User questions & answers

Question: Does this charger work for a bd power drill that uses 18v battery
Answer: It doesn't run directly off 120 or 220. It runs off the 5 Volts from the USB output of a laptop or USB power adapter. So if your adapter is 220, it will be fine. So whether your adapter is 120 0r 220 both will be putting out only 5 volts through the USB output
Question: What charger do i need for 2 in 1 stick vacum hsv320j
Answer: I have charged Rayovac, and other commercial brand than I do not remember right now, no issues..... slower that other changers, but charging them better.
Question: Does this charge a 20v max lithim ion lb2xr
Answer: Yes. It worked for my other batteries. I had rayovac, energizer, and Duracell batteries. Some of them were defective so it didn’t charge all of them. But if they are good. The charger does work for other batteries.
Question: will this work with black&decker lbxr20v max
Answer: Hey im an electrical engineer and i figured i could help a bit! When they refer to the overcharging problem when charging multiple batteries this is due to having multiple batteries in series when charging ( which is also why some chargers require you to charge in pairs) if i were to guess they got around this by just setting up multiple charging circuits in parrallel. now you may ask why if you could do it in parallel would you do it in series? well essentially if you charge it with 2 in series it takes half the components 4 in series and your at a quarter. personally the actual components in these are probably like 50 cents with like a 3 dollar assembly cost and 50 cents injection case. so i really dont understand why anyone would do it in series. so yeah realistically this charger will work absolutely fine and you dont need to worry about charging multiple batteries.
