Answer:	I can't answer why the discrepancy but I can confirm it's 10pc. I will compliment this set by stating I've been using it for probably over a year now and none have split or anything (and I use these with an impact like you're not supposed to). However I did end up buying a different set because this set starts at 13mm and ends at 24mm I think. Not a lot of useful sizes for working on cars like I do. Mainly just use the 12, 14, 17, and 19.

Answer:	The other answers really don't address your question. Hint to others: if someone is asking a question like this, they probably aren't familiar with jargon like "drive size." The 1/2" vs 3/8" refers to the size of the square lug at the end of the ratchet that you fasten the sockets to. 3/8" sockets will have a 3/8" opening that goes onto the rotating lug of the ratchet. Obviously bigger is more sturdy, but for general home use 3/8" would be plenty adequate. They even make 1/4" drive that's lighter duty, but 3/8" is a popular size and good for overall use. 1/2" would generally be for heavier duty like general automotive bolts. 3/4" and 1" drive sizes get you into heavier automotive (trucks and bigger) and industrial applications.

Answer:	No, these do not have a magnet to hold the screw or nut. One trick that I use is to cut a piece of plastic wide enough to cover two flats of the screw or nut and long enough to hold with the screw or nut and insert this in the socket. Depending on the thickness of the plastic, I may only use it on one side of the screw or nut. Once the screw or nut is started I remove the plastic and then finish tightening.

Answer:	9mm in general isn't common, that being said, neither are the 5mm or 6mm.M3 is usually 5.5; M4 is 7, M5 is 8, M6 is 10, and M8 is 13 (euro) or 12 (japan).This really needs the 13mm. And 5.5mm is the same as 7/32". 11mm is sometimes used for fitting, so not really useful in a nut driver set.
