  4. Variable Speed and Settings: Many Husky impact wrenches feature variable speed settings or multiple torque settings, allowing users to adjust the tool's power based on the application's requirements.

  5. Durable Construction: Husky impact wrenches are typically built with durable materials to withstand the demands of professional use. They often have rugged casings and components to ensure longevity.

  6. Ergonomic Design: The design of Husky impact wrenches often focuses on ergonomics, providing a comfortable grip and control during prolonged use. This design consideration helps reduce operator fatigue.

  7. Anvil Type: The anvil is the part of the wrench that engages with the socket. Husky impact wrenches may feature either a detent pin anvil or a hog ring anvil, each offering different methods of securing the socket.

  8. Application Range: Husky impact wrenches are suitable for a range of applications, including automotive repair, tire changing, equipment maintenance, construction, and more.

  9. Brand Reputation: Husky is a well-known brand in the tools and home improvement industry, recognized for producing quality hand and power tools.

When choosing a Husky impact wrench, users consider factors such as the intended application, power source preference (air or electric), torque requirements, and the compatibility with existing socket sets to ensure optimal performance and efficiency in their tasks.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the torque specs for the wrench
Answer: The DWMT74739 is a 1/2 in. Drive Quick Release Ratchet.
Question: Is the ratchet 72 tooth like the chrome version? If not, how many teeth
Answer: Yes, the ratchet included is equipped with 72-tooth gear system
Question: What are the socket sizes in this set
Answer: INCLUDES: 1/2 in Drive 6pt Impact Sockets: SAE 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, 1, Metric 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24. (1) 1/2 in Drive 5 in Impact Extension, (1) 1/2 in Drive Drill Adapter, (1) 1/2 in Drive Quick Release Ratchet.
Question: Whats the difference btween1/2 3/8? The handle? Which is good for general home use
Answer: The other answers really don't address your question. Hint to others: if someone is asking a question like this, they probably aren't familiar with jargon like "drive size." The 1/2" vs 3/8" refers to the size of the square lug at the end of the ratchet that you fasten the sockets to. 3/8" sockets will have a 3/8" opening that goes onto the rotating lug of the ratchet. Obviously bigger is more sturdy, but for general home use 3/8" would be plenty adequate. They even make 1/4" drive that's lighter duty, but 3/8" is a popular size and good for overall use. 1/2" would generally be for heavier duty like general automotive bolts. 3/4" and 1" drive sizes get you into heavier automotive (trucks and bigger) and industrial applications.

User questions & answers

Question: Wher do you oil this tool? I do not see a place to do this
Answer: Impacts need lubrication in two spots. The inlet and the hammer mechanism. Ready your owners manual for the procedure. Some have and oil plug and some are taken down and greased by hand.
Question: Where is this unit manufactured
Answer: Ingersoll Rand is an American company out of Wisconsin
Question: What impact extension set and impact socket set do you have, and would you recommend it
Answer: I got the 1/2" Tekton sockets and extensions and they've worked very well for me. Just be sure to check out the sizing of the sockets. One of the metric sets has bigger sockets but not sequentially getting larger (they skip some sizes). I got the 11mm-23mm I think. Has all the sockets in there. Recommend the gun? Absolutely.
Question: Trigger gets stuck on mine. I release trigger and it keeps going. Gun is only a yr old. Any ideas
Answer: Sounds like the spring is hanging up inside. Not sure if you registered with IR or not but I would think that's covered. Haven't had that problem with any other Ingersoll impacts though.
