Question:	What a grit have a diamond sharpening steel plates
Answer:	Circular scrubbing motions. You still need to bring a burr up on each side so you know you have reached the apex of the edge before going to the other side. Don\t use a lot of pressure, not needed with diamonds and will tear the diamonds out of there bond. This is the easiest way for me to get a knife sharp.
Question:	if i use this on my bechmade will it void my lifesharp warranty
Answer:	The DC3 is 3.25 inches long, and one inch wide, according to my measurements. It's tiny. It's like a thumb-sized stone. Still, it works well and it's light and compact for carrying. Kent said "get em both," but I would not advise this. The biggest advantage of the DC3 is price IMO. The DC4 will probably work better for you.

Answer:	I watched my buddy sharpen a fillet knike with it using sweeping angles and it worked fine. This when processing my deer so we had to sharpen it "tons" of time. I believe the knife was a 7" blade.

Answer:	Yes, The end is designed to be open ended. My thought is that if you were to use water while sharpening that a open end would aid draining and prevent mold. Just a thought.

Question:	how big are the pouch pockets
Answer:	I doubt it, because the crock sticks create a double bevel cut (about 21° I'd guess). I tried putting my ulu in it, which is also a single bevel blade, and angling it to the side. I couldn't angle it enough to match the bevel on my knife. So I bought a separate single bevel sharpener for that knife. Hope this helps!

Tapered Diamond Rod

1. Put end of the rod against the cutting edge of the serration or gut hook. Match grind angle.

Fire Starter

1. Place the tinder in the middle of your clearing, on the ground or on a bed of dry twigs if the ground is wet.

Answer:	It actually had the opposite effect on my scissors, too. I ruined three pair of scissors. I have the AccuSharp tool for sharpening knives and that works really well, though.

The Accusharp 001 is designed to sharpen DOUBLE-BEVELED blades, which contains two, angled, tungsten carbide blades; designed to sharpen both sides of your blade. The 006 GardenSharp (not 060) has ONE, angled, tungsten carbide blade that is meant for SINGLE-BEVELED blades. The other 'blade' is not meant to sharpen, it is simple a steel rod designed to guide your sharpener. This is because on your pruners, loppers, any single-edge blades only need ONE side to be sharpened to make a clean cut. If both sides of your loppers are angled then you will just bend the stem instead of cut it. Do not use AccuSharp 001 on single-beveled garden tools; it is not designed for them.
