However, there is nothing inside to hold any bits in place and/or keep them from rattling around. It is basically a short, hollow tube. (It could be that something is supposed to be in there, but I just didn't receive it. I say that because my set was missing the 5/32 hex bit. In its place was a second 1/8 hex bit. The seller did refund 50% of the purchase price for that error, but I had to come up with a 5/32 hex bit on my own to complete the set.) |

| Answer: | To fully answer this question, this is a PWM motor with PWM controls. PWM means "pulse width modulated. The PCB board takes the input from the trigger and uses that as the percentage PWM that is sent to the motor. It uses a full 12 volts at all settings and speeds, however the length of time, referred to as pulse width varies. It will have full 12 volt power but the length of time in which the power is sent to the motor is varied, which comes out as a slow to fast turning motor which still delivers amazing power at any speed chosen from barely turning all the way to a ramped up 500 RPM. Control of the rotation rate and power are both controlled using the trigger. I have several of these for myself and my crews use. |

BUT all pre drilled holes are countersink holes so if reversed the holes would not be on the reversed sides. With that being said the power strip can really go in either direction but it would not have a slit on right side if assembled according to prefab directions. Hope that helps. |

A lot of slotted tools that take bits do that, but if you're holding it upside down and the bit is falling out without touching it, your bit-extender is probably the problem and it's not retaining the bit. Otherwise, I wouldn't be critical if there is some movement. |

| Answer: | The answer is no. I have both the x-large molle sheath and the smaller Leatherman leather sheath. You can cram both bit packs in the larger one (I tried it) but I would not advise it. You put undue stress on it, which will lead to the sheath quickly tearing. I use the x-large molle when I am going to only carry the the tool by itself. However, I took another more expensive route and got what I wanted. Since I have all the accessories for the Leatherman I wanted them all in one carrying case. This way if you go camping, want to keep them in your vehicle, or just want to store them all together you can. Since I have the molles, already, when I want to carry only the Leatherman I can. I researched and found a Canadian company, Skinth, that custom makes sheaths specifically for Leatherman. They range in price from about $25.00 to $65.00. Mine ran about $45.00 but it holds all Leatherman accessories plus the multi-tool. Dealing with Skinth was a pleasure (I pestered them to death with questions). Very happy with the product. If you only need to hold the multi-tool and a few accessories (such as the two bit packs) you will probably pay at the low end ($25.00-$35.00). This is a much better way to go than reaching for your Leatherman equipment when you need them and finding they had fallen out and are lost. Whatever you decide to do good luck with your search. | Answer: | Based on how I consider the tool is designed, it appears that the flexible shaft is not intended to be removable from the handle. I suppose you may could somehow remove it if you tried hard enough ... but I'm unsure of what shape/material on the shaft is hidden within the handle portion of the tool.
