Answer:	Yes you can. Adjust the pliers to the one way screw and make it tight. You can carefully unbolt the screw. I used visegrips to remove my old security door screws this way.

Answer:	The current Vise-Grip is not as strong as the original Vise-Grip made in the USA. Ask any Farmer who uses them every day and they'll tell you. Don't blame China for that as Irwin gives the specifications to the the China company that builds the tool and China gives Irwin exactly to the contract specifications that Irwin demands.

Answer:	No, the grips are not specially made to provide electrical insulation. They will provide some level of insulation, but so will paint or masking tape - does not mean it's a good idea, safe, or should be relied upon regularly. If you want to see what properly constructed electrically insulating pliers look like, take a look at Knipex (world's greatest pliers, BTW) and you'll see their regular linesman pliers, cutters, etc., and then ALSO their 1000V rated electrical versions of the same pliers. The purpose-built insulation difference is clear, and they cost a little more, along with more bulk, as expected. I expect that if you are an electrician, you'd invest in the $$$ insulated version, and if you never or rarely worked on electrical things, you'd buy the regular version and take multiple extra precautions, etc. when needing to work on wiring.

Answer:	For our 6 inch locking C-clmap, we use M6 (Dia) x 1mm (pitch) screw, with an M5 hex hole on it. For our 9 inch locking C-clamp, we use M8 x 1.25mm screw, with an M6 hex hole on it. For our 11 inch locking C-clamp, we use M12 x 1.75mm screw, with an M8 hex hole on it.

For our 9" locking C-clamp, the throat depth is 2-1/2 inch (64mm), max jaw opening 3-5/32 inch (80mm). For our 11" locking C-clamp, the throat depth is 2-1/2 inch (64mm), max jaw opening 3-1/2 inch (90mm). You may try to use our 11" locking C-clamp for your brake calipers according to it's max open, but normally we recommend you to use a large C-clamp to do this job.
