A one-of-a-kind tool with unlimited possibilities, the patented, easy-to-use Knipex pliers wrench is a fantastic tool for fastening, gripping, holding, and bending. Its slim profile allows easy access to confined spaces, making it one of the most versatile tools in your toolbox. It features a time-saving push button adjustment with multiple adjustment settings and infinite positions for quickly locking onto a variety of workpieces. Its parallel smooth jaws avoid damaging soft or plated materials and provide even, full-contact gripping of a wide range of sizes. It's a great tool for tightening locknuts, exerting pressure to activate the adhesive power of contact adhesives, edge breaking in tile work, snapping cable ties, and utilization as a small vice.
Unlike an open-end wrench with uneven compression that can cause surface damage, this Knipex pliers wrench offers zero backlash under pressure. With a 10-to-1 lever ratio, the cam action design ensures a strong, secure grip without hand or wrist strain. The self-ratcheting action allows for fast, easy operation while eliminating the need for additional tools. The Knipex pliers wrench is available in a number of grips and sizes for a variety of applications.
Quality in Every Detail
Sometimes we give our pliers a really hard time. We try to destroy them to find out what makes them good and long-lasting. Because we don't want to leave anything to chance, we take a long, careful look.
The steel Knipex uses is precisely hardened with a maximum of 0.8 percent carbon and defined parts of chromium and vanadium, guaranteeing optimum cutting performance and service life — even though it requires special production and costs a bit more. But our high product demands require this.
Knipex also looks closely at the small details. The angles, the sharpness, the hardness, the toughness of the cutting edges. The precision and smooth movement of the joint. The handle design and the finish. We keep reviewing these subjects, we research, we test, and we improve our pliers.

User questions & answers
Question: | Yes please where is this product made |
Answer: | To what maximum dimension can the jaws be opened? The following YouTube video (Knipex Pliers Wrench) gives information on this. Officially the 12" model opens to a maximum of 2-3/8". However I've measured the opening on mine and it appears to be about 2-1/2 inches. The 7" model opens to 1-3/8". The 10 inch PW opens to a maximum of 1-3/4 inch.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUCY9w7Oco0The 7" PW is approximately 7 inches long (actually about 7-1/8") in the fully closed position ... but in the fully open position the length is about 8 inched long. |
Question: | Is "7-inch" the distance from the nose of the plier to the end of the handle? 2. What's the max jaw opening for a 7" and 10" plier? Thank you |
Answer: | The pliers wrench is suitable for nuts, bolts, and fittings that use wrenches. It's like a crescent wrench but better since the jaws won't slip since you apply force to the handles. The Cobra is a pliers and is good for pliers type things, grabbing pipe, wrecked fittings and things of that nature. |
Question: | What's the main difference between the Pliers wrench v. the Cobra pliers? is one better suited for one type of job v. the other one |
Answer: | If you only get one--get the 10". I have the 10" and 7" and the 7" is pretty small. I'll be using the 10" unless it's really tight quarters and won't fit. |
Question: | The 7" or the 10" which one would be most versatile I only afford one right now that's why I'm asking thanks |
Answer: | Do not buy mine broke within an hour they refused to replace it brought it to a repair place there was no schematics for it |
Question: | Do you send the pliers back to amazon or too knipex for warranty exchanges |
Answer: | Yes it does. |
Question: | Does it have a pocket clip |
Answer: | Hi, yes you can play them both at the same time. You may check other details of the unit by visiting our website pyleaudio.com. Type the model number on the search box PPHP1241WMU for more details. Thank you. |
Question: | How durable is the push button? I generally try to avoid pliers with a button like that |
Answer: | More the 8 hour |
Question: | Can someone tell me if this can help to twist open a 3" canning jar lid? I need help in opening jars |
Answer: | Carlos, with the amount of sound this thing puts out,it certainly could be. Not sure what you will be pushing itwith, just bear in mind it is 4 ohms. Hope this helps. |
Question: | How many mic inputs have this speaker |
Answer: | around 500 rms and i use the pyle 3000 watt amp, does 800 rms total, but clips a lot. you wont find a great ampfor under 100 bucks |
Question: | Does it have rechargeable battery |
Answer: | The only data that i could find is on another website. It claims to be only 250 watt rms. I have them ran in a circuit bridged at 4oms with this amp http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002RU92WI/ref=oh_details_o03_s02_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they sound great for the cost. Not sure if they are only 250 watts rms that sounds low for the way they sound. Thats all i could find. |
Question: | can you play music and use microphone at the same time |
Answer: | One 10in 1200 watt can hit harder and cleaner than most dual 12in set ups I have seen as long as it is done correctly. My suggestion is always to never waste your money on a second 10in...spend it on QUALITY wire (truthfully when it comes to sheer sound quality, your speaker wire is one of the most important things--spend the extra money on the bigger gauge)---do not try to run your sub off of some random amp either...make sure it's a mono, or a multi channel bridged correctly. People spend hundreds on speakers, but then install them incorrectly. The truth about sound is the price of the speakers matters much less then the way they are installed. Seal your box. Yes, run one 10in at 1200watts set up with a wired fuse, a decent head, and decent components and do not cheap out on installation and it will blow most things away. |
Question: | About how long can you play music on the batery |
Answer: | No...it is voiced and designed to output low frequencies only |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these light in weight ? Compared too Milwaukee's |
Answer: | can you provide milwaukee part numbers? i will look up weight for you.knipex 87 01 180 7" weighs 6.0 oz , 87 01 250 weighs 11.1 oz, 87 01 300 weighs 19.0 oz hope this helps. |
Question: | Do they work in both directions in the same orientation, or would I have to turn them over |
Answer: | They need to be turned over to get the benefit of the tool design. They are an assymetric set of pliers; The torque of rotation around the object being clamped and turned reqauires that the force applied by the handles works in the direction which which keeps the plier closed -- in the lesser angle (about 135 deg) made by the jaws with the handle. |
Question: | Are these made in Germany |
Answer: | All Knipex tools are manufactured in Germany. |
Question: | Can I use these pliers as pipe wrenches, on steel pipe, maybe 2" to |
Answer: | I disagree with those who say a pipe wrench is better. I've found that these get a significantly better bite on a pipe. In my opinion, the only reason to use a pipe wrench over these is when cramped quarters don't allow the handles of these pliers space to work. Also, the comparison has to be between similar sized tools. The 12" knipex cobra is not comparable to a 24" pipe wrench, but the 22" knipex is. |

Question: | Which knipex is best to use for heating and cooling |
Answer: | They are compatible and you don't need to drain the old ink. I just add ink when it's needed. I've always gotten brilliant colors and sharp images using this ink. I installed the Fantasybuy CIS for my Epson Photo 1400 and my Epson Artisan 810 and they both take the same inks. |

Knipex 88 01 250, 10-inch Alligator Water Pump Pliers
Providing more output and comfort compared to conventional water pump pliers of the same length, the Knipex Alligator water pump pliers offers nine adjustment positions for 30 percent more gripping capacity and good access to the workpiece due to the slim size in its head and joint areas. It's so versatile, it can be used in any industry — automotive, electrical, HVACR, industrial, and even for DIY.
A serrated gripping surface on the jaws allows for gripping any shaped object — round, square, hex, or flat. Plus, the tool's teeth are induction hardened for wear resistance and a longer life. A box joint provides directional stability when working in any environment. This dual channel design offers the operator increased confidence that the tool will not bend or break under heavy duty working conditions. A fine adjustment enables you to find the perfect setting for different sized workpieces.
By adjusting the handles to get the appropriate width, you can lock the jaws into place to avoid slipping off the workpiece. Once locked into position, you won't have to squeeze the handles to get a greater grip. Only downward pressure on the top handle is needed to firmly hold the object.
The Alligator also has a forged on pinch guard that prevents the operator's fingers and hands from being pinched. Because the guard is forged at the same time that the tool is made, it will last as long as the tool itself.
